Thank you, that is good to hear. My day has been somewhat mixed, but mostly good. Apparently we are set to have a significant storm come through in the next few days so I am keeping a close eye on the weather forecast. Wishing you well for the weekend!

Hey friends! Do me a favor and follow my alt-account, @AFierceFaith, and feel free to ask, and chime in on difficult Bible verses and tough questions regarding Christianity. Honest seekers are welcome, and rudeness won’t be tolerated. Please repost. Thank you!

I strongly agree. Speaking as someone who was, for many years, a professional organist and choir director, I made a point of not allowing music to obscure or eclipse the scripture and theology it existed to illustrate and convey.

I am having the same experience, as, I believe, are many others. Judging by the very few responses I get when I post anything on here nowadays I don't think anyone terribly much reads my posts either. However, I do my best, for what little it's worth. Greetings from the UK!

How old is he now? I know he's been around a while, so probably not in the first flush of youth.

Unlike many artifacts, which sit on the shelf only to be gazed at, our parlor organ can be played and experienced. It can offer an embodied experience of using your hands at the keys and your feet at the pumps. You don’t need to be an organist to enjoy it.  carleton.edu/chaplain/news/n…

Theological fundamentalism (extreme conservatism) of every type, requires no depth of thought. It presents a rigid set of rules that appeal to the fearful, as well as the power-hungry. It judges, rather than loves. It seeks power, rather than service to others. And it seeks to keep God in a very small, controllable, and containable box.

I wish more organs like this existed. We are so limited by the fact that so many entirely suitable venues lack pipe organs in situ.

We didn't have anything like that when I was coming up. I remember a few attempts to educate us on simpler risks, such as crossing the road safely, or not accidentally electrocuting ourselves. Symptomatic perhaps of the British approach of dealing with the near at hand first(?)

Very sorry to hear that- however, I think I have been reading your genuine posts on here long enough that I would know it wasn't you if I came across one of the fake ones. Greetings from the UK. I hope you are well. It's very hot here, and quite oppressive at times.

To be honest, I can understand your sentiments. In my experience they are somewhat underwhelming events.
