Better coached/designed NFL teams dipped to 9-5 in Week 6 and 71-21-1 (.763) for the season. That is the correction I expected. Always expect such teams to win about 75% of the games.

R-E-L-A-X. Relax. That field goal turned UNDER 43.5 backers into losers. I was on that and Jets +7.5. What one hand giveth, the other taketh away.
🚨BREAKING: THE NEW YORK #JETS KICKED A FIELD GOAL WHILE TRAILING BY 10 POINTS WITH JUST 30 SECONDS REMAINING. THE BETTING SPREAD WAS 7.5 POINTS, AND THE FIELD GOAL CUT THE DEFICIT TO 7. GAMBLERS WHO BET ON THE #PATRIOTS TO COVER ARE FURIOUS. WOW 😳😳😳

Most exciting hit I have ever seen. The right third of the ⚾️ just nicks the far left edge of the chalk…
36 Years Ago Today: Joe Oliver's 10th inning walk-off hit off Dennis Eckersley scores Billy Bates to give the Cincinnati Reds a 2-0 lead in the 1990 World Series. #ATOBTTR

🐢 in Maryland not so fancy this year…
2002 Orange Bowl Intro 🔥 I don’t know what’s more surprising, remembering Maryland in a BCS bowl or a pre-The Office Steve Carell in the intro

YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING leaves us with plenty to think about, especially our ability (and right) to draw conclusions about people based on fragments of information, carefully edited footage, or even worse, a Hulu original series. Read my review at reviewsonreels.ca/2026/10/15…

Also included the Ragen Brothers, Frank and James, who founded Ragen’s Colts, the forerunner of the Chicago Outfit. Frank would go on to have great “clout” in Chicago and James would operate the national horse racing wire for Moses Annenberg and Mickey McBride (Browns original owner) until Greasy Thumb Guzik and Dave Yaras moved on him. I highly recommend Len O’Connor’s book “Clout.” It’s one of the best books about urban politics I have ever read.
On October 15, 1899, the Cardinals played their very first game! Known then as the Morgan A.A., the club was composed of local teens led by 18 year-old Chris O'Brien (photo). Behind the rushing of Pat O'Brien, the Morgans beat the Shermans 29-0 and finished with a 6-1-1 mark!

Looks like 2026 NFL WEEK 6 might be one of “those” weeks. Play designers have been getting fat winning at almost 80% clip. Correction coming. Better buckle up.
Bo Nix has the best career record in NFL history in games with 6.0 yds/att or less (13-3, .813 win pct). All other active QBs have a .283 win pct in starts with 6.0 yds/att or less

In 2022, a chilling discovery at Lake Mead reignited speculation about Las Vegas’ organized crime past. Along the lake’s receding shoreline, a visitor discovered a corroded barrel containing human remains. The victim had suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and the manner in which the body was concealed raised suspicions of a possible Mob connection. For more than four years, the victim’s identity remained a mystery. Now, authorities have identified the man as Edward Lelburian Jackson, bringing a long-awaited breakthrough in a case that captured international attention. During today's press conference, officials from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Clark County Coroner’s Office revealed new details about Jackson's life and the investigation. Originally from Arkansas, Jackson was last seen in his home state in the early 1980s. He had also lived in California and Utah, where he had a limited criminal history in the Salt Lake City area. Investigators confirmed that they have found no information supporting a connection to organized crime or establishing any known ties to Las Vegas. Jackson's identification was made possible through advances in forensic genetic genealogy. After years without a match, investigators submitted a bone sample for DNA analysis, which led to a potential familial match. Forensic specialists at Oklahoma State University assisted in the identification process, helping solve a mystery that had persisted for more than four years. When the remains were first discovered, the circumstances prompted The Mob Museum to examine several unsolved disappearances involving men with ties to Las Vegas’ criminal underworld. Among those we researched were casino employees, gamblers, and other individuals connected to organized crime. Now, with Jackson's identity established, investigators have answered one of the case's biggest questions, but many others remain. Jackson's murder remains unsolved, and LVMPD continues to seek information about his life, his possible connections to Las Vegas, and the circumstances surrounding his death. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
