It's easy to read this post and think it's about feedback loops and governance discussions. I think that might be a part of it, but there's something else at the heart of the post and that is the absence of from the ground up voting and a complete lack of true representation, for everyone, as it is listed in the TENETS. What if the issue isn't about feedback, platforms, or the when, where, and how discussions occur? What if the issue is more specific to treasury management and governance? Is this hybrid dPoS ideal for treasury governance? Is the absence of direct participation disenfranchising to the average stakeholder? Are their other ppl or groups that dont feel represented? Should there be a discursive or dialectic democratic mandate? Does the current Constitution allow for this? How would we capture that onchain? When do we stop to consider these questions? Or are we going to continue building products in silos that arent addressing the integrity of several fundamental principles?
There's no good feedback loop in Cardano governance. Those who vote aren't necessarily those who build and use the chain. You can sit on a ton of $ADA for years, never use anything on-chain and still have more voting power than anyone who's used all of it. This needs to change. We need voting to be bottom-up not top-down. I have my own solutions and will be building them into StarchPay. I hope that can be an example we can use to make Cardano better.

It’s International Bat Week! It may sound strange but one way you can help Florida’s amazing bats is to make sure you follow proper procedures when excluding bats if they have taken up residence in your home or other structure. Fall is a good time to bat-proof your structures since bat maternity season is now over, and young bats are old enough to safely leave their roost. Learn more about bat exclusion guidelines and other ways you can help bats in Florida: bit.ly/FWC_Bats Join us this week to celebrate and learn about our native bats and research efforts. 📸: Lisa Smith, FWC

3 years after 9/11 and the US govt's enacted surveillance act (The PATRIOT Act), Nick Merrill - an ISP provider, got a letter from the FBI accompanied by a gag order. He spent years challenging in court. 25 years later, he tells the whole story: youtu.be/yxdZWtd3epE

I call bullshit. The flaw in Leios is that blocks aren’t produced until the network hits capacity. When did that last happen? It doesn’t reduce fees or create induced demand. So you’re turning on an idle, secondary spillover block production function with no users. No?
Dear crypto community, I don't think people fully understand what Leios could mean for Cardano. 👀🦋🍄 While everyone is chasing hype and the next 10x memecoin, Cardano is building for institutional adoption, real-world finance, and mass adoption. And here is why I'm so bullish: 👇 🚀 Leios dramatically increases Cardano's tx capacity (by processing in parallel). 📈 10–15x is the tx target. 🔐 Leios keeps Cardano's security foundation without sacrificing decentralization to chase speed (Unlike BNB and Solana). 🌐 Leios brings more capacity for DeFi, stablecoins, payments, trading, and the next generation of Cardano dApps. In combination with Hydra, Mithril, Bitcoin DeFi, RealFi, and Midnight, Cardano is building infrastructure that can support millions of users. Scaling without sacrificing decentralization and security matters. The market will notice. Stay bullish. 🔥

While most Floridians sleep, more than 30 million migrating birds can fly across the Sunshine State in a single night during peak Fall migration in late September and October. This beautiful 1963 painting by Wallace Hughes shows a flock of Canada geese flying over a Florida sunset – a sight many Floridians have had the opportunity to witness over the years. But Canada geese aren’t the only ones taking flight. More than 400 species of North American birds will migrate through or over Florida during the Fall migration period, which runs from July through late November. @America250FL Learn more about Florida Migratory Birds here: bit.ly/FWC_BirdMigration #OldFlorida #FLHeritage

In the event that you aren't paying attention & still happen to be enveloped in your curated, inconsequential, ideological of choice... The majority of the public understands the economy has been gutted, reduced to corporate debt, hyper-gambling, & fraud

Wages are down, profits are up. Corporations are getting tax breaks, deregulations, and busting unions, while workers are getting suppressed wages, slashed benefits and higher costs. Almost everyone of your problems can be traced back to this chart.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The image is misleading for 2 reasons: - it commits a “chart crime” by using two different Y-axis. x.com/ramez/status/2… - Compensation has shifted from wages to benefits, which is hidden from this chart; workers get ~19% of compensation via benefits now, vs as low as 2% historically. taxfoundation.org/blog/strong-ca…

Following the Midnight Foundation's recent wind-down of its developer relations team, my time at Midnight has come to an end. I built the developer education and AI developer tools, a dozen-video series explaining how ZKP and network implementation, a certification academy, and an MCP server downloaded 10,000+ times. Some of my favourite moments were the conversations, from fireside chats with builders to the hours spent alongside partner teams shipping on the network. Thank you to the team, the developer community, and every partner I worked with. Before Midnight, I spent over two years at Axelar working hands-on with partner teams building cross-chain applications. I designed their integrations, reviewed their code, and wrote the reference implementation developers used to send messages between blockchains. Before developer relations, I spent over four years as a backend engineer, building systems serving tens of thousands of users, data pipelines, and enterprise software for banks and telecoms. I also founded Web3 Afrika, a community of builders. That engineering background is what I bring to developer relations: I can sit with a team, read their code, and help them ship to production. Now I'm looking for my next role in developer relations, forward-deployed engineering, developer experience, developer support, solutions engineering, or AI engineering. I'm based in UK with a UK Global Talent visa, so no sponsorship is needed in the UK, and I'm open to remote or hybrid. Available now. If your team is hiring, or you know one that is, I'd love to hear from you. An intro or a repost would mean a lot. Portfolio and CV in the reply, kindly help RT

Around 77 million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous period, North America looked very different from today... The continent was split by a vast inland sea called the Western Interior Seaway, which stretched from the Gulf of Mexico to the Arctic Ocean, effectively dividing the landmass into Laramidia to the west and Appalachia to the east. The climate was warmer than today, with no polar ice caps, and sea levels were much higher. The western landmass, Laramidia, featured mountain ranges forming along the edge of the seaway, along with lush forests, floodplains, and river systems. This region was home to a rich diversity of dinosaurs, including famous species like Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Edmontosaurus, and Ankylosaurus, as well as smaller theropods and early birds. The eastern landmass, Appalachia, is less well-known because fewer fossils have been preserved, but it also supported dinosaurs, crocodilians, turtles, and early mammals. Marine life thrived in the seaway, including mosasaurs, plesiosaurs, giant sea turtles, ammonites, and early fish species. The flora consisted of conifers, cycads, ferns, and early flowering plants, supporting both terrestrial herbivores and insect populations. #drthehistories
