Court bars police, FRSC from imposing fines over third-party insurance
A federal high court in Abuja has ruled that the Nigeria Police Force and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) cannot impose fines on motorists over third-party motor insurance without a court order.
Hauwa Yilwa, presiding judge, delivered the judgment in a suit filed by Deji Adeyanju, the activist and lawyer, against the inspector-general of police (IGP), the attorney-general of the federation (AGF), and the FRSC.
The case, marked FHC/ABJ/CS/291/2025, sought clarification of the powers of law enforcement agencies to enforce compliance with motor vehicle insurance laws.

When AIG Kayode Egbetokun was appointed IG of @PoliceNG in June 2023, the Police Service Commission, #PSC, compulsorily retired 54 y.o DIG, Moses Jitoboh.
He sued.
In a judgment in Jan. 2025, @NatIndCourtNig held that his compulsory retirement was void & unconstitutional. Neither the PSC nor @PoliceNG appealed against the judgment.
Sadly, DIG Jitoboh had died in the week immediately preceding the judgment.

While growing up, one of the core principles that was drilled into us was to avoid the use of vulgar words
No matter how much I respect you, if your post is always about sex, private parts, concentrated abuse, and use of derogatory words, I just know that our values do not align.
There's a way respected and sensible people talk and behave. Its not everyone of us that came from dysfunctional homes or chaotic environment where anything goes.
Imagine me abusing your mother or father during an argument, how nah? There's just no way I can reduce myself to that level.

The key points in today’s election indicates 3 things and which is still the fact.
1. The incumbent(APC) still has wide acceptance from the public despite what many believe.
2. PDP is not dead as many want us to believe despite political bigwigs not in the party.
3. ADC who is another opposition party still has a long way to go, because they are not prepared to take over from the incumbent, it is just vibes and inshallalh.

KPMG flags multiple errors, gaps in new tax laws, seeks 'urgent' review
KPMG, a global network of professional services firms, says there are “errors, inconsistencies, gaps, omissions, and lacunae” in the new tax laws that require urgent reconsideration to ensure the achievement of their stated objectives.
In its newsletter, the professional services firm outlined several areas where revisions are required following a review of the New Tax Act (NTA), 2025.
KPMG said Section 3(b) and (c) of the NTA specifies persons on whom taxes may be imposed but omits the term ‘community’, despite its inclusion in the definition of a ‘person’.
