In the latest @amazon twist - @SenGianaris intros bill that would make it a Class E felony (2-5 years in jail potentially) for using insider info to benefit in real estate deals after WSJ story about Amazon employees buying property in LIC. wsj.com/articles/amazon-empl…
It is not 100% clear that Amazon employees did this. But, in a statement @SenGianaris said “Trading on insider information is illegal with securities and should be illegal with real estate. No one should be cashing in on confidential inside information.”
