For members of 2SLGBTQI+ communities, there can be unique challenges and barriers that make a cancer experience even more difficult.
As a trans woman, Amy Clark experienced this challenge firsthand when she was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer.
Amy’s experiences in the healthcare system served as a reminder to use her voice as a member of an underserved community. Today, Amy continues to dedicate her time with advocating to making sure that everyone has equal access to cancer care.
