Not Trump.
Nor the American people rejecting his ideas
If the Democrats can get into fruitful negotiations with Iran & it’s proxies, maybe stable lower energy prices
Oil is near a two-month low, Brent is around $95 & WTI near $88, more than 20% below October highs as markets price a lower near-term risk of renewed US-Iran escalation.

Lolz, this headline @TheAtlantic.
As a Hungarian-American this decade has been incredibly frustrating and painful. At every turn, there was a cringey, populist dictator-wanna-be staring back at me.
Delighted that both America and Hungary are back on the path to sanity.

"Even if Democrats sweep the midterms, Trump will still be president, and his closing act will likely involve trying to tear the country apart. We can’t allow him to do that."

When any politician of any type talk about reshoring any industry, what this geezer explains, prevails.
I used to say to my clients, get big, get niche or get out, even that isn’t a guarantee
“RESHORE MANUFACTURING”
machine shops are quietly being put up for sale across the country.
Why?
Owners are done
Skilled machinists are disappearing
Banks want their cut
Customers want cheaper parts
Everyone wants “Made in America” until they see what American manufacturing actually costs.
Keep letting these shops die and soon we won’t be reshoring anything.
We’ll be importing the capability we used to own
This thread is about how much skilled, experienced general & precision machinists earn. OK it’s in America but the same applies pretty well across Europe.
How do we change this?

Trump1 didn’t descend into the mess we see now because of the institutions, but now he has Project 2025 people running the show.
Hanson, almost as far from a tree hugger as you can get, details Trump2
Hoover Senior Fellow @VDHanson says that President Trump is waging a 360-degree counterrevolution aimed not at Congress or the courts, but at the institutions where he believes progressive power actually resides—the media, the corporate boardroom, universities, K-12 schools, sports, and entertainment.
