Hey all you unicorns of the #WritingCommunity What is one of your strengths or weaknesses as an author? I’ll go first with both 🤗 Strength: I absolutely love the editing process! Weakness: the dialogue I write always requires a ton of tweaking to make it sound authentic 🤷

Give me a super spoilery sentence from your WIP but redact all the spoilers E.g. "but the books didn't say if [redacted] had been murdered by [redacted] like [redacted] had.”

Ayo #WritingCommunity! Today's #worldbuilding #writingq is: Name an impactful law that has effected the way your story world works? Ever since the war at Kurukshetra there was a decree by GOD that no Deva shall be allowed on Earth again without consequence. #question #writing

I'm cheating a bit because today's my birthday, so todays #writingq. How does your MC celebrate their birthday? Because Quinn doesn't really celebrate, I'll ansure using Rylen. (The more importan celebration tends to be the monarch's coronation over their birthday)

You. Don't. Know. You don't know who your art will resonated with. Or how many. You might think it's bad. You might think it won't. But do you really believe in a world of 8 billion that your art is so uniquely unlikeable by everyone but you that no one will like it--

This is my favourite thing. Look at this little 'haha,' laughing at us from 1000 years ago 🥹
"'Ha ha' and 'he he' signify laughter in Latin and in English, because they are cried out when laughing." Wonderful evidence here in Ælfric's Grammar that 'ha ha' has been the sound and spelling of laughter in English since at least the 11th century and the Old English period.

I loved this episode because we four all talked about what makes our fantasy stories different. I like to call it "flavors" of fantasy, but you can call it whatever you want. I write dark, violent, worldbuilding-heavy fantasy, but there are so many other flavors!
EP 18 - On Writing "Fantasy" It's not fantasy; it's fantastical! What types of fantasy draws the interest of the Chaos Squad, and how have those things affected their writing?
