ALT Halloween 2 1981 starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence. Myers, a horrific murderer, spends 15 years in an insane asylum after terrorising the people in his small hometown on the eve of a halloween. As soon as he gets out, he hunts down his sister.

44 years ago, this month in 1982, the film adaptation of my novel FIRST BLOOD debuted. I fondly recall the thrill of seeing it with an excited audience. It changed action movies, just as I had the goal of changing action novels.

In Vanishing Point (1971), the prototypical speed vector manifests through Kowalski's Dodge Challenger. Stripped of a dyadic pursuer dynamic, the car becomes a high-velocity projectile on an urgent A-to-B highway trajectory driven solely by a tight deadline and pure speed.
