I’ve been trying to draw attention to the problem of speeding drivers using the center turn lane on Lake Street after the red bus lanes were added by @MetroTransitMN and @Hennepin. How many times will the poles in the island at 34th Ave need to be replaced?
The disaster that is the Lake Street bus lane conversion is really showing tonight after the first snow. Bumper-to-bumper from Snelling Avenue in Saint Paul to Hiawatha Ave in MPLS in both directions along with bumper-to-bumper on River Road in every direction for miles.
Anyone else noticing the huge increase in rush hour speeders through the Seward neighborhood since the Lake Street bus lanes went in? They’re all heading to River Road which is now bumper bump bumper to bumper from from Franklin to Lake Street every day.
