So sad to see the state of our diving boards compared to the Army facilities. Just £20k was needed three years ago to sustain them, but without the backing they're now going to be removed permanently; an era closes. JN @RAFCentralFund

We are incredibly sad to hear of the passing of Dame Vera Lynn, an unforgettable British icon, symbol of hope to the Armed Forces Community past and present, and much loved longstanding Legion supporter. Our thoughts are with her loved ones.

Well done. Not that long ago, you would have been tweeting about how a Cadet has landed a fighter jet in a simulator ... now it’s docking in Space. Brilliant stuff. #NextGeneration

Divers practicing for the RAF championships tomorrow at Cranwell. With the boards having been removed we are limited now to just 1 metre springboard, and no full suite of diving opportunities. But we carry on!

I’ve changed my Twitter handle to the more generic @HarvSmyth as I’ll be transitioning from the AOC 1Gp role in April to become UK’s “Director Space”.
I’ll keep tweeting, but the content will change to reflect my Space role: fast jets out...faster rockets in !! #NoOrdinaryJob
