Today we have begun the process of controlling regions. 📢
Over the next few hours we will be reducing the maximum ping on a server to be 175 after we have decided that protecting the largest amount of players from an influx of regions that are more prone to cheating.
It’s disappointing for us to have to put these divisions in place with social experience being such a core focus of WARDOGS, but we must prioritise the largest group of players over the minority.
Region locking is in progress on the backend, but is more than a switch to make a meaningful impact to the desired effect.
We’re sorry we let it get to this point that we are forced to make this decision, but we felt that giving certain regions the opportunity to prevail was the right move. Unfortunately, it has not panned out as we’d hoped and we’ll be getting stricter on cross pollination of regions.

In case it doesn't go without saying, no AI was used to create the score for #squadron42. It's a handmade thing, brought to life with the help of hundreds of musicians and singers and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Una experiencia que nunca olvidaré o7
Lt. Commander Steve Colton has reviewed the squadrons and found them fit for service. 🫡

Squadron 42 will set a new benchmark for sci-fi gaming, just like Mass Effect did. None of this would be possible without Chris Roberts’ determination and the hard work of the entire CIG team. Thank you for making it happen!

To the 120 creators who answered the call in Manchester to play Squadron 42: thank you. Your time, honesty, and enthusiasm mean more to us than you know.
And to every Citizen holding the line, you're the best crew we could ask for.

First post in 16 year ago? Uau 😮
My main goal these past few days was to get to know the @RobertsSpaceInd community better, and I succeeded… met the USA crowd, UK folks, Australians, the single Italian, the Spanish content creators, and drank with the CIG community team and devs. Just pure camaraderie and love for the same game! 👾
@CloudImperium set up a venue I'll cherish forever (thank you @CaptainZyloh). They let us experience the game we always wanted, showed us where it's made, let us hear from the people who made it, and let me try it in VR for the first time .. uau 🤯
For a long-time backer, what more could I want? 🤤 #squadron42
I did my role to invite who I could to Bar Citizen Portugal 2027 🇵🇹 Let’s see who takes the bait !

It was awesome to meet @enderprize, the master of mixing gaming and live music, and talk about our first impressions of Squadron 42! 🤘

I'm so grateful to Ulf and Freyja for always looking out for us, making sure everything runs smoothly and that we're all doing well. This great adventure has been truly special. Thank you both, and CIG, for making it all possible! @RobertsSpaceInd #StarCitizen @squadron_42
I really enjoyed the discussion about the new flight model and control surfaces with Richard Towler and @YogiKlatt . Their passion for their work and the hundreds of hours of research behind it all are truly epic. THANK YOU! 🚀 @RobertsSpaceInd #starcitizen @squadron_42

🤯 @RobertsSpaceInd @squadron_42 Nice Work CIG 👏 #starcitizen
