That's the power of merit. It speaks through performance, not propaganda. Perhaps that's precisely why Modi prefers promoting -40 over rewarding excellence!

The honour recognises his assistance and cooperation extended to the French community in Bengaluru during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A man is brutally murdered in broad daylight, the perpetrators record the crime, and years later, the trial is still underway. Yet, under the SC/ST Act, an accused can face arrest without a preliminary inquiry establishing the allegations.
Is this the consistency our justice system is meant to deliver? Presumption of innocence cannot be selective, nor can accountability depend on the identity of the accused or the victim.
And where is the much-publicised Double Engine Government when the son of late Kanhaiya Lal Ji is still asking for justice?
I am not asking this. His son is. Perhaps those who demand answers from everyone else should answer him first or will we blame opposition for this too ?
@AshokShrivasta6 @KARAN_author
According to Ashok ji, Modi ji cannot repeal the SC/ST Act (although we are demanding reforms, not its repeal) because we do not have a good and cooperative opposition.
Tehseen Poonawalla: Agreed, but then why did the Modi government make the Act even more draconian? Why did the Modi government allow itself to be blackmailed by the opposition?
Nearly 50% of students in universities belong to the General Category, but who is raising their concerns? Who is speaking up for their rights?
