No one is getting through this harbour area while cadets of RGSHW CCF hold their positions and clearance patrols are underway. Work routines are soon to follow on this Advanced Infantry Cadre at Bramley Training Area. #RGSHW #CadetsinSchools #Fieldcraft #Vigilance #Teamwork

To mark #NationalCadetsWeek, we're celebrating the teamwork and friendships made in our contingent. Here are a few shots from our Initial Recruit Camp in Bramley. A huge thank you to every cadet who stepped up to the challenge, and to our staff who make camps like this possible.

Today, on Battle of Britain Sunday, our Air Cadets took part in an act of thanksgiving and commemoration for the Royal Air Force's victory in 1940. Well done to our cadets for representing the RGSHW community. #RGSHW #CCF #BattleofBritain #LestWeForget

The Story of Ian Fraser VC. On this day (31st July) in 1945, he earned the Victoria Cross for an extraordinary act of gallantry. We share his story as told from his memoirs "Frogman VC" and further research. instagram.com/reel/Dbc95JnSi…

Marking the start of a new tradition for the contingent, well done to all who took part in the inaugural Cadet Small Bore Rifle Meeting (CSBRM). #RGSHW #CCF #CadetsinSchools #Marksmanship

Congratulations to our Contingent Commander, Dr S Matthews, who is retiring from teaching Classics after 14 years at the RGS High Wycombe. Fortunately, Wg Cdr Matthews will remain as our Contingent Commander, and we look forward to many more field days and camps ahead! #RGSHW

Congratulations to all cadets who received an award at the RGSHW Senior Prize Giving Ceremony of 2026. Awards were given for leadership, academic exellence, sharpshooting, and more. #RGSHW #CCF #PrizeGiving #Excellence #Achievement

Today marks 110 years since the Battle of the Somme began on 1 July 1916. We at RGS High Wycombe remember three OWs who died on the Somme and have no known grave. They are commemorated at our school and on Thiepval Memorial. #RGSHW #Somme110 #LestWeForget

Archery, absailing, rafting, and mountain biking. There isn't a challenge our cadets won't face! Adventure training has brought smiles all around as we leave CCF Central Camp. Thank you to HQ South East & LONDIST for giving us memories that will last a lifetime. #RGSHW #CCF

Range Day at CCF Central Camp saw our cadets firing the L98A2 GP rifle on a 25 metre range. The top three tightest groupings of the day were an incredible 20mm, 25mm, and 28mm which are more than worthy of the Marksman Qualification! #RGSHW #CCF #ArmyCadets #Marksmanship

Day 2 of CCF Central Camp was all about TIBUA (Training in a Built-Up Area), with demonstrations on how to clear a building safely and effectively. Putting theory into practice, our cadets joined forces with other regional CCFs for a massive simulation. #RGSHW #CCF #Teamwork

An incredible start to CCF Central Camp 2026 as Day 1 threw our cadets straight into mastering the basics of fieldcraft and survival. Their focus was put to the test across several stands in extreme weather! 🥵💪 #RGSHW #CCF #ArmyCadets #SummerCamp #Survival

Year 9 RGS students on a WW1 battlefields trip held a service of remembrance at Railway Dugouts Burial Ground near Ypres, Belgium for 2nd Lt. Frederick Youens VC, an Old Wycombiensian. For many Y9 students who joined the CCF, it was a moving experience. #RGSHWCCF #LestWeForget

36 hours. Four seasons of weather. Infinite grit. 🥈⚔️ We are immensely proud of our cadets for securing Silver on Cadet Cambrian Patrol last weekend. Representing the top 1.25%, they’ve proven exactly what they’re made of. #cadets #armycadets #cambrianpatrol #commitment

Proud of our cadets who had a great time at Longmoor Military Skills Competition at the weekend. Sleeping in conditions as low as minus 4, cadets showed great leadership and teamwork and upheld the virtues of resilience and integrity throughout #cadets #relentless #commitment

We are incredibly proud of Sgt. Prince for being awarded an Army Scholarship. You embody both the values of the school and of the cadet force and we have no doubt you will become an excellent serviceman. Well done, good luck and thank you for opting to serve.

Excellent weekend away with over 60 new recruits for our basic camp. Great to see our cadets develop their character and leadership skills all whilst having a smile on their faces. #cadets #characterdevelopment #corevalues

After a night in the field, our new cadets are getting ready for their morning ambush exercise #cadettraining #selflesscommitment #nextgeneration
