Every time I think I've seen the full extent of the ingenuity, grit, initiative, resourcefulness, and determination of the Ukrainian people - I see the next stage of it. Ukrainians are simply amazing and inspiring, particularly in the face of tragic and terrible circumstances.

⚡️ President Zelenskyy proposed three alternatives to US partners to halt strikes on Russian oil refineries: an energy truce, Starlink access over Russian ballistic launch sites, or additional Patriot missiles. The US rejected all three, prompting a sharp reaction from Kyiv.

JUST IN: Serbia’s longtime leader Aleksandar Vucic conceded defeat in Sunday’s parliamentary election, losing to a student-led opposition movement after two years of protests against his government. The stunning result ends 14 years of dominance by Vucic and his right-wing party. Backed by Vladimir Putin, Vucic had accused the student movement of being a foreign-backed attempt to oust him. The opposition is projected to win 135–140 of Parliament’s 250 seats, compared with about 105 for Vucic’s party.

The MAGA influencers weren't enough to save Putin's favorite candidate in the Serbian elections. Vucic has just conceded.

But the *biggest* election scandal was the time a sitting president tried to do a coup instead of accepting his loss at the ballot box.
One of the biggest election scandals in history has been the Democrats’ installation of a fake Dan Sullivan (not the US Senator) to deceive voters in Alaska. The corrupt media of course is not outraged at the lawless election manipulation but the effort to protect the lawful rights of Alaska voters. If a fake Republican Abdul Mohammed El-Sayed was ticket splitting with the real Muslim Brotherhood Abdul Mohammed El-Sayed the media would be apoplectic and the courts would fix the ballot. It cannot be defended which is why the media refuses to discuss what the lawsuit is actually about.

So, 10 days after Starlink/Starshield was limited over Ukraine, Musk has finally crafted his story and decided to break cover with an emotional explanation. Many will argue it exonerates him, I think it poses more questions than answers. Let’s see what’s missing here. 🧵1/6

UPDATE | 🇺🇦 Ukraine is pushing back against Elon Musk's claim that its military violated Starlink's terms by using the civilian satellite service for offensive drone strikes. Serhii Beskrestnov, a defense technology adviser to Zelensky, says commercial Starlink terminals have been subject to speed and geographic restrictions since February, making the medium- and long-range strikes Musk describes technically impossible. Ukrainian drone supplier Serhii Sternenko also says missions requiring satellite connectivity relied on Starshield, not civilian Starlink. Musk has acknowledged that SpaceX restricted Starlink service but maintains that the US government controls Starshield.

Why has "corruption" shot up in concerns among voters? Well, all the corruption for starters. But also this chatter. Corruption isn't just about making money off your position. It's also exempting yourself from the rules.
Yeah, but why pardon junior WH staff working on trade pol- ohhhhhhhh. washingtonsun.com/whitehouse…

So, about 69% of registered voters are actually paying attention. The corruption is blatantly obvious - pardons for sale, billion$ in crypto, billion$ of perfectly timed insider trades, trump kids' DoD contracts, kushner's middle east slush fund, and where's the Venezuela oil $?
FT Exclusive: About 69% of registered voters, and almost 50% of those who voted for the president in 2024, said they were 'very' or 'somewhat' concerned about 'corruption, self-dealing or conflicts of interest' in the Trump administration. ft.trib.al/9DHH5H8

Kompromat is a helluva drug...
The US is willing to betray its closest allies in Europe, a market of 450 million people and an economy worth nearly $20 trillion, just to cut shady, corrupt deals with Putin's Russia, an economy roughly the size of Italy's. What an absolutely insane foreign policy.

“On Feb. 5, 2025, her first day in office, Attorney General Pam Bondi disbanded the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force, dismantled the department’s unit pursuing Russian oligarchs’ assets, and narrowed enforcement of the Foreign Agents Registration Act. CISA paused its election security work, abandoned the information sharing center that connected it to state and local election officials, and by mid-2025 had lost more than a third of its workforce. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard gutted the Foreign Malign Influence Center, the State Department closed its office for countering foreign disinformation, and National Security Council working groups on Russian sabotage and disinformation stopped meeting. The next target was the people. In August 2025, Gabbard revoked the security clearances of 37 current and former officials, among them a senior Russia analyst who helped produce the 2017 assessment, citing the “politicization or weaponization of intelligence.” Comey was indicted on Sept. 25, 2025, over his 2020 Senate testimony, five days after Trump publicly demanded his prosecution. A judge dismissed the case, but the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit is currently hearing the department’s appeal. CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred former Director Brennan for prosecution for alleged perjury in his congressional testimony, and Brennan has been subpoenaed to appear at a Florida grand jury examining whether officials who investigated Trump conspired against him. The purge also reached below the senior level, and analysts who worked on the 2017 assessment also had their clearances stripped. The FBI forced out a veteran counterintelligence agent over his ties to an official in the original Russia investigation, and dozens of FBI agents and Justice Department prosecutors were fired or demoted for work investigating Trump or Russia.”

I am always against monkeying around with the Constitution, but if Trump does this and links it to policy areas, then it really is time to change or eliminate the pardon power, which was never supposed to be used as a blanket shield for preventing accountability

Ukraine says the speed restrictions on Starlink’s military service Starshield have been lifted, ending nearly 11 days of limits, according to the Financial Times. Defence Minister Yevhenii Khmara said the ministry’s monitoring recorded a recovery in speeds, with drones able to fly faster than 400 km/h on a “stable connection.” Zelenskyy said the restrictions were lifted overnight. Units had reported connection problems above about 130 km/h and a complete loss of signal above 160 km/h hindering Ukraine's offensive and defensive capabilities. On Saturday, Elon Musk accused Ukraine’s military of violating Starlink’s terms of service by using the commercial system for “offensive drone strikes to kill people,” writing on X “That loophole was closed last week.” Several Ukrainian officials denied it, saying their drones use Starshield, which Musk has said the U.S. government controls. Presidential adviser Serhii Beskrestnov said commercial terminals in Ukraine have been limited to 70 to 90 km/h since last winter. Earlier reports conflicted on who imposed the limit. The Wall Street Journal reported Musk ordered it, Reuters reported it came from the White House, and President Donald J. Trump said on Friday he didn’t know who ordered it but “had heard” it was resolved. Zelenskyy said Tuesday intelligence sharing resumed after talks with Special U.S. Envoy Steve Witkoff, though U.S. officials had denied it was cut. Source: ft.com/content/5b5592f4-c59d…

BTW, I don't care whether it was Starlink or StarShield or whatever. I care that someone -- Trump 2.0, Musk, or whoever -- blocked Ukraine from using it to defend its own civilians from ballistic missile and drone attacks aimed at civilians. All of you people who want to split hairs and resort to legalisms in "Terms of Service" that literally no actual living humans ever read anyway to justify Putin's evil can all go straight to hell, as you probably will. WTF is wrong with you people.
