Did his teams at Iowa State that won a lot of games have bad leadership? Did they have low standards and expectations? Can you only learn about these things when things are going poorly or can you possibly learn stuff like this when you win?
Matt Campbell on Penn State's losing stretch: "Leadership is not when it's going great." 🧠 Is sustained success the right plan, or does Penn State need results now? 🤔👇 #PennState
Pat Kraft talking about Beaver Stadium after the renovations are done:
When Saquon housed this first TD I was more convinced of him winning the Heisman than I've ever been of anything

Patrick is correct.
If 100,000 regular fans give $10 a month, it is $12 million a year.
If 25 people with more money than they know what to do with give $1 million, then you're doubling what you get from 100,000 regular fans giving $10 a month.
Penn State's messaging has been poor for sure.
I also think, when it comes to football, that the grass root fundraising that these third parties do is generally overrated by fan bases. These smaller, monthly donations or $$$ that come from auction events are fine, but that isn't going to move the needle when it comes to football and where Penn State wants to be.
They need the 10-20 donors who can actually move weight (seven figure weight) to give even more. These collectives are certainly a piece to it, but schools like Miami and Texas Tech and Oregon jumped to the front of the line because of a tiny group of millionaire/billionaire alumni -- not the larger fan base as a whole sending monthly donations.
“[Our guys] are trying to move this program from good to great, and then there’s gotta be one more elevation before the end of the year.”
[my eye twitches uncontrollably, I am transported back in time like in Ratatouille only instead of it being a good thing it scares me]
GEORGIA: What do you want, you said a beautiful souped up Ford Bronco, right? And are you happy with $1 million? No? You want $1.25 million? Sure, you'll love Athens.
MATT CAMPBELL: How about something better than money: humility? :)
[with blood coming out of my eyes ears mouth and nose] well hopefully this means Bill O'Brien is keeping his job
Westwood (Mass.) Xaverian Brothers quarterback Will Wood has flipped from Penn State to Boston College.

Went to Penn State to find out the story behind the empty seats.
Found a fanbase grappling with the new reality of college sports - and the cost of chasing championships.
Thanks to everyone who spoke with me.
