For comic readers my age, I don’t think there were two more formative runs than Astonishing X-men and, of course, Planetary.
John Cassaday effortlessly crafted character defining moments as well as the most grandiose wide screen action tableaus.
RIP to a master of his craft

40 years ago today, Hayao Miyazaki's epic adventure Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind was released in Japan.
While it's not strictly a "Ghibli film", it brought together many of the Studio's key players, and its success paved the way for everything that has come since.

When Jack Kirby died, I sat down and drew this. For some reason, I felt I wasn't worthy of posting any sort of tribute, so I shelved it. Here it is 30 years later. I'm now closer to his age at death than mine when I drew it.

I've been overthinking what to do with these so I'm just going to start posting them.
This is the first WAYFARER "short", little glimpses into the life of Abigail Quinn, over the course of her 5000 years of life.
Longer format comics still in the works too.
