Today's show: How Big Tech Monopolies are Weaponizing AI Against Human Liberty youtu.be/qTQIqJiN-Hs I sit down with Michael McClellan, an attorney involved in litigation over alleged AI-related copyright infringement, to examine the legal, moral, and constitutional questions conservatives about AI chatbots conservatives cannot afford to ignore. We cover everything from Section 230 indemnity, how conservatives should approach liability and regulation, and the hypocritical gaslighting from the industry about the need to “beat China.”

Sucks. Then again he is running for a third term. Of course, in the states where we need term limits, we don’t have them.

She’s polling 7 points under 50%? Holy crap, that’s bad. Even if that poll is 7-10 points off, she’s still underperforming mightily.

Wow Given how polarized our country is post party realignment, this is not just a typical, or even bad, midterm result. There is a lot more going on here. And it's not surprising to those of us warning about this for 1.5 years.

Wow, excellent point. But that begs the question, why have they still have not figured out the true lesson from DeSantis’ 2022 election? Do what you promised, put the people first, and they will reward you with overwhelming support and votes. That leads me to conclude the Trump GOP is a “grab as much as you can for yourself and leave the consequences for the next guy” party.

The moment I had an inkling that Vivek Ramaswamy wasn’t winning over some rural Ohioans was when I asked a group of middle-aged Republican farmers in rural Henry County what they thought about the Governor’s race. All three burst into laughter, shaking their heads and groaning. While they didn’t like Amy Acton’s covid policies, they also had caveats to Ramaswamy - like him being a vegetarian, or a billionaire. One said it a successful businessman might manage the state budget well, but then added it “scares us too, because he could be just crooked.”

Gen X
Gen Z is the least religious generation we've ever polled. Today, about 36% of them say that they believe in God without a doubt. When Gen X was asked that same question when they were they same age as Gen Z now, 57% were certain of God's existence.

So I just talked about this on my show. This is very sleazy. The nominee for governor is a Democrat in all but name only. @RebeccaBextel is the real Republican and had been a long time activist and donor and was forced to run as the Constitution Party candidate. Given how low Dems score there, there is zero risk of splitting the vote. Support Rebecca and drain the uniparty swamp, you know, like what this man promised to do 11 years ago.
🚨 WYOMING!   Early Voting, in-person, is UNDERWAY NOW in the Great State of Wyoming. If you have a mail-in ballot, return it immediately and, if not, GO VOTE at the Polls RIGHT NOW, and get everyone you know to VOTE FOR THE REPUBLICAN IN EVERY RACE, UP AND DOWN THE BALLOT!   Whether you VOTE early, absentee, by mail, or in-person, Republicans must SWAMP the Radical Left Dumocrats with massive turnout! In Wyoming, you can cast your early Vote, in-person, all the way through November 2nd. SO IMPORTANT — PLEASE GET OUT AND VOTE. MAGA! President DONALD J. Dems aren't stupid. They might be liars, but I can tell you this: if every Republican were like DeSantis they wouldnt be able to run these ads. Quite the contrary, they'd be the ones on the hook for greater ties to special interests.

Well, when you are in bed with the globalist big tech, big pharma, and big foreign worker importation, this is all you can run on. Never before has there been an election where the GOP, lead by its leader, perfectly synergized bad policy that negates our ideological moorings with electoral suicide. We could have abolished the welfare state, obamacare, foreign workers, and gay marriage and would still be better off electorally than they are now. All this, for what?
Ohio voter slams Vivek Ramaswamy's ad featuring Amy Acton's estranged mother: "I don't know what his angle was. Like, is that speaking to anyone? Is that resonating with anyone? It's horrific what happened to her. I don't see the positive angle on it."

Ed Zitron says the AI "demand" everyone cites is mostly two companies - and Nvidia is paying people to rent back the GPUs it sold them "There is this mythology that inference is profitable. There is no actual proof of this" Pressed on CNBC - "How can you say they're unsustainable?" - the Better Offline host took apart Nvidia's new financing push: > Vendor Financing By Proxy (1:11): - The fund is "still a memorandum of understanding." Nvidia raises the money and finds the customers - "they basically pay people to rent back the GPUs that they sell them." > Two Labs (3:17): - Bloomberg: 70% of Microsoft's FY26 AI revenue was OpenAI. The rest of the chain? "Compute fronts for two unsustainable, unprofitable AI labs." > A Teeny Tiny Business (4:52): - Strip out OpenAI and Microsoft 365 Copilot makes "single digit billions" - against "$261 billion of capex" since 2022. "That's pathetic." > The Uber Problem (5:58): - Once enterprise moved to per-token pricing, he says, "Uber blew through their entire annual token budget in a single quarter." > Raising Forever (8:11): - If OpenAI and Anthropic go public, "they will have to raise $100 billion, $200 billion each every year in perpetuity." Yup, we could have not only saved red states with this but done this to them in other states. Instead, we supposedly had to nominate crap corporatist republicans "to beat the Democrats." So what happens is you get neither ideological objectives nor electoral pragmatism.
Mike Rounds won by 31 points in 2020, so him leading by 8 is a 23% swing left. This strategy of running populist Independents in deep red states is turning out pretty well

The best indicator of what will happen in the midterm election is the most obvious one: Trump's job approval. Now compare today to 12 days before the 2018 election. In 2018, Trump's job approval in RCP was net -7.4. Today it is net -21.7. – at Gettysburg, PA

This was evident all last year already in special and off year elections. I don't know about 250, but definitely not a narrow majority.
Dems winning 250 seats? Who could have possibly predicted this (a few weeks ago)?

Interesting point.
I see some chatter about whether the size of a House Dem majority will matter, but it obviously does; the new left-wingers joining the conference have a lot of clout if it's 225-210, not much if it's 235-200.

This is accurate and now we in Ohio will have to live with the fallout. Selling endorsements and letting the corrupt thieves involved in selling them manage the whole thing is a recipe for disaster.
