We are the Indigenous students of Texas Tech University. We existed before #TTU and will continue to exist. We are not invisible.
Happy #IndigenousPeoplesDay! Today we think of the Comanche People who’s land we are on, and of those who presevered everything they could for future generations.
Happy #IndigenousDay Texas Tech! Remember, TTU resides upon historic Comanche and Apache lands!
As an organization, we are praying for the safety of our communities devistated by COVID. You are in our hearts.
History has changed so dramatically that the morning we greet today is far different than it was just one week ago.
Ahead is a long road to reclaim/strengthen sovereignties and remove racist symbols from sports teams across America.
But we can relish these moments of victory.

.@GoyaFoods has been a staple of so many Latino households for generations.
Now their CEO, Bob Unanue, is praising a president who villainizes and maliciously attacks Latinos for political gain. Americans should think twice before buying their products. #Goyaway

Two things statue removals have taught us:
1. A deep moral investment in Indigenous genocide and erasure by purposefully obfuscating settler colonialism
2. Willful ignorance around political, legal, and cultural claims Indigenous people have for land return and decolonization
PSA: Wear a mask! Think of our elders— and if you too want to be an elder one day, it starts by wearing a little bit of fabric over your mouth AND nose! #WearAMask
Don’t stop— the fight for Black liberation continues!
This is a MOVEMENT not a MOMENT! Don’t get quiet now!!!! #BlackLivesMatter
We’re not sure who needs to hear this, but don’t ask the one Native person in the room to do the land acknowledgement,,,,,,,,, it’s not FOR us,,,,,
We are saddened to hear of the passing of 19-year-old Oluwatoyin Salau. Our hearts are with her as she walks on.
Her death reaffirms our commitment to fighting racial injustice. This is why we fight. #JusticeForToyin #BlackLivesMatter
Canada is not better than the U.S.; they are both settler-colonial states whose power comes from their oppression. This is why we protest.
