Life onboard means more than one role.
Seamanship, maintenance, safety checks, watchkeeping and public engagement all formed part of this deployment. ⚓️
Every day is a chance to learn something new 🌟

HMS Raider welcome visitors on board.
One day you're taking the helm, The next you're giving tours and sharing life at sea with visitors, Sea Cadets and local communities.
Service takes many forms. ⚓
From classroom theory to steering a Royal Navy patrol vessel. ⚓
Several hours on the helm during an operational deployment helped turn knowledge into experience.
That's Reserve training in action.

Day 1 onboard HMS Raider ⚓
Preparing lines, checking lifesaving equipment, learning damage control procedures and taking part in a Man Overboard exercise.
No spectators. Everyone gets involved.
Ever wondered what Royal Naval Reserve training looks like? ⚓
Two weeks onboard HMS Raider. Challenging seas, helm time, seamanship, public engagement and a crew of just seven people.
