Her lecture explored India’s approach to West Asia, the India-Palestine relationship and the strategic opportunities for deeper cooperation. At the 3rd International Conference on Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, the Representative of India, Ms. Mahima Sikand, joined the panel “From Education to Innovation, Work and National Capability” at the Arab American University in Ramallah. The conference showcased how AI could be a transformative tool for Palestine, supporting innovation, creating new opportunities and strengthening national capabilities. India has been an early partner in supporting Palestine’s technology ecosystem. The Representative highlighted the Palestine-India TechnoPark as a practical example of this partnership, and India’s readiness to share its experience in digital public infrastructure (DPI) and digital public goods, nurture Palestinian talent and help connect it to global markets. Congratulations to the Arab American University and the Government of Palestine for convening this important discussion, bringing together stakeholders from across the Palestinian ecosystem and international partners. Marking the 157th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in Ramallah, the Representative Office of India organised “Gandhi: Reflections from Palestine-Conscience, Freedom and the Public Voice” at the Mahmoud Darwish Museum. The programme brought together Palestinian voices for a thoughtful reflection on Gandhi’s ideas, and the continuing relevance of responsibility, dialogue and the power of the written word in public life. The discussion featured Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac, Mr. Zakaria Zubeidi and Dr. Nasser Laham, and was accompanied by the exhibition “The Responsibility of the Word: Gandhi as Writer, Editor and Public Voice,” tracing Gandhi’s work as a journalist, editor and public communicator across more than four decades. Community action, shared values and enduring friendship. 🇮🇳🇵🇸 As part of the #SwachhataHiSeva2026 and #GandhiJayanti2026 campaigns, the Representative Office of India and Betunia Municipality organised a cleanliness and tree-planting drive at the Gandhi Scientific Park and in Betunia’s Old City. Students of Betunia Girls’ School, municipal officials and workers joined the Representative Office team for a morning of community service and reflection on Gandhi’s ideas and philosophy. The two sides also signed an MoU to support the rehabilitation and renovation of Al Hind Roundabout, a symbol of the friendship between our two countries and peoples.
