Many people hear "30 km/h" and assume it means every road in Uganda will slow to a crawl. The focus is on places where people and vehicles interact most closely, around schools, markets, hospitals and other busy pedestrian areas. Different roads carry different risks, and safer speeds should reflect that. Source: who.int/publications/m/item/… #RoadSafetyUg #CEPAProgramming

Getting there safely matters than getting there fast! You can’t control everything that happens on the road, but you can control your speed. The road is not a race track. Obey speed limits. Be patient. Slow down. Arrive alive. #roadsafetyug

As we wrap up the week, let’s reflect on our responsibility to make Uganda’s roads safer for everyone. Every life matters and every responsible decision on the road can prevent a crash and save a family from grief. As we prepare for a new week, let’s commit to obeying traffic rules, respecting other road users, avoiding speeding and distracted driving and protecting pedestrians and motorcyclists. Road safety begins with each of us. #TofiiraKuKkubo #Tweddeko #ArriveAlive – at Kampala, Uganda

Did you know distracted driving is more than just phone use? It’s anything that takes your eyes off the road, your hands off the steering wheel or your mind off the journey. ⚠️ One second of distraction can lead to a life-changing mistake. Stay alert. Stay focused. Stay safe.

ROSACU’s work goes beyond advocating for road safety - it also strengthens the capacity of its members to build and run stronger organisations. At the Quarterly Meeting, Mr Ndungu ED @uganda_drivers , is taking members through an engaging session on NGO compliance, exploring areas such as donor eligibility, institutional gaps, legal existence and governance. Members are reflecting on their own organisations and identifying areas for improvement, with a commitment to take the lessons learned forward and put them into practice. #roadsafetyug
