A major war on the final lap in Brazil to end Season 15. Where the Alpine of Rafael, trying to have Alpine score back to back victories is in a fight of attrition against the Red Bull of Alex Norris, who's team has yet to win this season. Vegas last week in RPL had multiple moments that left a lot of surprise. 1 McLaren knocked out in Q1, the champion Cookie getting into an incident that resulted in a penalty and a ban from attending tonight's race by penalty point accumulation, 4 wide battling and Gecko getting victory in the Alpine scoring the team's 3rd ever win. Later tonight is the finale of Season 15 in RPL at Brazil and we have a fight between academy teammates for runner up in the Driver's Standings. Mexico had nothing but absolute pure chaos with multiple drivers getting track limit penalties and those being the ultimate factor on the winner and the podium places. With a last lap pass on recently crowned champion Cookie, NightOwl takes victory in Mexico. Cookie with a mistake and penalties drops to 10th. Alex Norris who was 3rd car across the line moved to 2nd and Reece Dainty, the 5th car across the line, got 3rd. And this is the same race where in qualifying the newcomer of FVR Nardo secured Alpine's 2nd ever pole position and a returning Rafael put Williams on the front row with 2nd fastest time. Well here's something you don't see every day. Our league member and driving in Red Bull yesterday, F1Shorts, had this graphic set up on the lap by lap leaders of the RPL race in Mexico. 12 lead changes, 7 different drivers and 5 different teams led the race to the unofficial result of NightOwl taking the win. And led laps was tight with F1Shorts leading the most with 9. While Cookie, NightOwl and newcomer Nardo all led 8 laps. He has done it!! After starting P18 serving a quali ban for penalty point acclimation, Cookie is the Season 15 RPL F1 Champion! And he adds multiple accolades to his recent win at COTA. His 49th career F1 win, 9th win of the season, Ferrari's 50th win as a Constructor, ties Luke Grange (aka L74G) 3rd all-time most podiums at 68, and has the most F1 championships in RPL as a 4-time champion. Starting the season in Mercedes, he transitioned to Ferrari following Monza and never looked back for his title hunt. It has been done and a lengthy drought has been broken in RPL! After getting 3rd and 4th in the Sprint followed by 2nd and a DNF in the main race, Mercedes has gotten it done in Singapore. For the first time since Season 4, RPL's Mercedes F1 team are finally Constructors Champions! A collective team effort first began by Cookie and his teammate HSR Gecko, the team completes their Constructor hunt with NightOwl and Sam Gallagher (artist formerly known as Savage) in the cars. After last week's race in Baku, RPL heads to its final Sprint event of the season as the drivers take the streets of Marina Bay for Round 16 of the championship.
