Politicians are corrupt, but we can select/reject them. Babus/Bureaucrats are the main cancer. They are more powerful, collect bribes and have no accountability

MHA declares information on the High-Level Committee on Demographic Changes “Confidential” U/s 8(1)(a) of the RTI Act, 2005. It means information would harm India’s sovereignty, security, strategic or economic interests, foreign relations, etc. @asadowaisi @ravish_journo
MHA declares information on High-Level Committee on Demographic Changes “Confidential”! In response to an RTI application, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has refused to disclose copies of the proposal, file notings, approvals and other documents relating to the constitution and appointment of the High-Level Committee on Demographic Changes, stating that the information has been classified as CONFIDENTIAL and is exempt from disclosure under Section 8(1)(a) of the RTI Act, 2005. The section 8(1)(a) of the RTI Act, 2005, exempts information that would harm India’s sovereignty, security, strategic or economic interests, or foreign relations, or incite the commission of an offence. The RTI application was filed by social activist @SQMasood. The the MHA’s response can be accessed through the link below. rtilibrary.in/share/028e7e9a…

What’s happening in AP? Complete breakdown of law and order.
Clashes erupted between two #TDP factions during ZPTC election nominations in Nandalur, Kadapa district. Both groups of the ruling party allegedly attacked each other with stones and sticks and one group fired six rounds in air. Several were injured and many vehicles burnt. #AndhraPradesh #APlocalbodyelections2026

10,672 complaints in 3 years shows where people got fed up, not how every road stands. A dashcam scan maps every Charminar Zone road start to end, counts potholes, marks utility cuts and grades each ward C0–C4. Open to a 15-min demo, @GHMCOnline? #Hyderabad

“RTI systematically weakened under BJP”: @AnjaliB_ Right To Information (RTI) was brought in by the UPA as a tool of transparency and for people to hold government accountable. With two amendments that compromise the autonomy of information commissioners and facilitate denial of information, the BJP-led NDA government has systematically weakened the RTI, claims activist Anjali Bhardwaj. youtu.be/OxMnAhO2yGM

Gyanesh Kumar isn’t just an expert at “stealing votes” he’s also a genius at making sure RTI applications never actually get submitted. No RTI, no accountability. Brilliant system. @ECISVEEP is systematically stopping citizens from filing petitions by making sure the applications get rejected over mysterious “technical issues.” You try to submit, it refuses to generate an RTI number, you try again, fail again, and after a few attempts the average citizen just gives up. Problem solved. No wonder the BJP loves him so much!

This is nowadays common finding in #rtiportal on filing application. Registration no. is not generated, query unattended. Fee gets deducted but reconciliation takes more than 5 days. @RTI_Library @DoPTGoI @mygovindia

As an RTI activist, I find these numbers deeply concerning. Transparency and accountability are the backbone of democracy. Citizens have the right to know how public authorities function. Why are so many RTI applications being rejected? #RTI #Telangana #Transparency #RightToKnow – at Hyderabad, India
After analyzing 540 rti documents from our RTI-Library and 2100 RTI replies sourced from 100+ RTI activists from Telangana, Most refused RTIs and hot topics in Telangana, from RTI Library from 2023-2026: 🏛️ GHMC: 313 rejections (town planning staff, building permissions, illegal construction) 🚓 Police: 167 rejections (CCTV footage, FIR & e-petty case records) 🔍 ACB: 68 rejections (corruption case records & stats) why these departments have such high rejection rates for these topics? #RTI #Telangana

The RTI Act came into force in October 2005. In the past 21 years, this important legislation has been systematically weakened not only by bureaucrats but also by political parties and Information Commission as well. See the analysis below 👇

Leaders of Telangana can protest in Delhi, but they have ensured one can't protest in Telangana with preventive detentions and excessive policing.

Gyanesh Kumar would have never dared to do what he did if Supreme Court didn’t leave this guy Anil Masih with just a sermon and put him in jail instead that day. Courts in India have allowed, normalised and made criminals feel they can get away with anything as long as they have the Modi Govt backing them.

That is why I never believed them. They do one or two things that are part of their basic duty and then build an entire PR campaign around it to glorify themselves as exceptionally honest officers. The objective is clear. Build an image, gain public admiration, reach more powerful positions, enter politics, become ministers or chairman of commissions and keep spreading the narrative that they are honest and educated while politicians are illiterate and corrupt. But even after entering politics, or remain in administration after successfully manufacturing the image of an “honest IAS officer” through PR, they never say that the feudal IAS and IPS system itself needs to be dismantled. They never say that police corruption survives because the IPS lobby controls and protects the structure. They never say that this lobby is damaging the country by gripping the entire system so tightly that its own officers can loot without fear of accountability. They never explain how the cadre protects and shields corrupt IAS and IPS officers so that they can continue to rule citizens instead of serving them. They never speak about how talent from other cadres is deliberately blocked and how officers from other services are prevented from reaching administrative leadership because weakening that monopoly would weaken the lobby itself. They never speak about how RTI was gradually weakened, while the same ecosystem captured institutions such as CIC, tribunals, RBI, Election Commission, CVC and CBI. The same cadre keeps appearing everywhere, controlling institutions that are supposed to hold power accountable. This is the real problem. It is not about one honest officer or one corrupt officer. It is about a cadre that protects its own, expands its control, blocks others from rising, captures institutions and preserves a system where members of the same network can shield one another. That is how ganging works. That is how accountability is destroyed. And that is how the feudal structure survives.

Problem is that not even a single retired IAS officer or minister has spoken against it.

This man is a hero. Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian captain of flydubai Flight 1073, fought back after being stabbed in the cockpit. Despite being severely injured, he managed to unlock the cockpit door - allowing Israeli passengers and the Emirati crew to intervene and save all the passengers. Together, their extraordinary courage saved 174 lives. Indian. Israeli. Emirati. Different nationalities. One extraordinary act of courage. 🇮🇳🇮🇱🇦🇪 We wish Captain Machchhar a full and speedy recovery.
