I love the @AUTOMATmovie so much. As a native New Yorker, I love seeing an important piece of history of my city. I was nearly two years old when the last Automat closed down, so I never had the chance to enjoy the delicious food there. #TheAutomat #HornandHardart #Nickels #TCM
Even if you have never stepped inside of one, seeing images of an Automat will trigger feelings of nostalgia. @AutomatMovie explores the history behind Horn & Hardart as well as its cultural influence. Director Lisa Hurwitz joins us for its TCM premiere tonight at 8pm ET.

Dave Meltzer is the most condescending douchebag in wrestling. As you know, @GreatBrianLast, he’s stabbed Jim Cornette in the back. He stabbed Chris Van Vilet in the back, who was cordial to him. He tried to lecture Gail Kim on “Asian women being bullied in wrestling” as if she’s not an ASIAN WOMAN IN WRESTLING. Then, he tried to say something like her trainers aren’t proud of her, as if she doesn’t have a case for being one of the greatest and most influential female wrestlers of all time. Multiple female wrestlers have had to call him out on the way he talks about women’s bodies. I called him AEW biased and he proceeded to call me an “embarrassment to my family.” Dave Meltzer doesn’t know me. Dave Meltzer doesn’t know my family. Dave Meltzer doesn’t know anyone I speak to in person. The AEW sickos and Tony Khan have made this guy this moral authority in professional wrestling and it’s causing fans and wrestlers alike to hate his guts.
Nope. Sorry. You're too busy dictating, you need to stop & learn. Your nutty behavior on twitter & on your own show has made YOU the story & damaged your reputation. We should ignore it? Pretend you're acting normal? You need self-awareness.

Yawn. You clearly aren't learning hard enough. More learning, less twitter.
All I do is learn. Every day. I learn from every promotion that I can. Keep saying all you say about Trump while copying his playbook. It's the irony that everyone asks about. I just find it funny.

Amazing. A guy obsessed with me weekly and I respond one night and it's a "twitter meltdown." By that standard you'd have to call yourself a 52 week a year meltdown.

Susan Saint James, the Emmy-winning actress who starred opposite Rock Hudson in “McMillan & Wife” and Jane Curtin in the CBS sitcom “Kate & Allie,” died Monday at 80 years old after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Saint James’ family described her as someone “generous with her time and energy, which she valued more than money, and instinctively drawn to whoever needed lifting up. She taught her children to pause, be kind and look out for other people. She never met a stranger. Every person she met became the most important person in the room at that moment, from a fellow board member to the clerk at the shoe store, who usually walked away knowing her entire life story.” (via People) variety.com/2026/tv/news/sus…

So sad to hear about the loss of Walter Koenig. Such a nice guy and when we were on the convention circuit together a pleasure to hang out with. Here he is with Celeste Yarnall in “The Apple”, one of my favorites of the oddball episodes. Farewell.

Cyd Charisse and James Mitchell in one of the most sensual and technically proficient dance routines in cinema history — “One Alone” (from 1926 operetta The Desert Song, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and Otta A. Harbach) from the biographical musical film Deep in My Heart (1954) about the life of operetta composer Sigmund Romberg. The film, which takes its title from “Deep in My Heart, Dear”, a song from The Student Prince, primarily consists of a series of cameo turns by nearly every significant singer or dancer on the MGM lot at the time. These include dancer Cyd Charisse, Rosemary Clooney (José Ferrer's wife), Vic Damone, Howard Keel, Gene Kelly and his brother Fred Kelly (their only on-screen appearance together), Tony Martin, Ann Miller, James Mitchell, Jane Powell, Joan Weldon, and the ballerina Tamara Toumanova. Robert Easton, Russ Tamblyn, Susan Luckey, and Ludwig Stössel make uncredited appearances. Miss Charisse's stunning costume was designed by Helen Rose and Walter Plunkett designed all the men's costumes.
