TIL @MaryPeltola is being investigated BOTH civilly and criminally, plus the US Attorney has motioned for expedited discovery by MONDAY (3:50 mark). At this rate we could see indictment(s) on election day. #akleg

There will be no sucessful environmental lawsuits against Alaska oil exploration and development the next two years. The Defense Production Act has been invoked:
(1) domestic petroleum production, refining, and logistics capacity, including exploration and production, [..], are [..] essential to the national defense;
(3) .. financial support for the development of production capabilities ..

Yep, the Asian bid is bottomless (where shipments are headed) and responsible for this more than $18/barrel vs Brent and $29/barrel vs West Texas Intermediate crude. What a blessing ANS oil is for all Alaskans. And Asia. #akleg needs to wake up to this.

I love Fairbanks. 32 years ago, my wife Julie and I started our family here. And as Alaska’s Senator, I’ve always made sure Fairbanks and the Interior have a strong voice in D.C.
Mary Peltola closed her Interior office when she was in Congress. And today, she refused to show up for the Fairbanks Chamber candidate forum—leaving me to speak to an empty chair.
Once again, she’s showing blatant disrespect for Fairbanks and the Interior—and showing Alaskans exactly what kind of representation they can expect from her in the Senate.

Phenomenal interview with Bill Armstrong detailing that the best is ahead for Alaska with a likely equivalent 2 more Prudhoe Bay size fields to be found on our North Slope (state + federal lands). Drilling this winter to be epically revealing. #akleg
Check out the latest podcast with Bill Armstrong, owner of Armstrong Oil & Gas! Listen to him talk about the history of his business, why he decided to explore on the North Slope in 2001, and the huge find he made that became Pikka.

Yes, Golden Dome is expensive .. and with adequate compute it will become a reality. Alaskans and #akleg will benefit from this in coming years as the greatest Alaska economic driver ever seen.

"Experts have suggested the dome system would be physically impossible and enormously expensive — a trillion dollars or more over the next three decades"
So which is it, impossible or expensive?

Ahem, as I was saying since April ...its not DPA, but it was negotiated by @POTUS.

DPA is looming; recall in the 70s for TAPS, a law was passed to directly address ongoing delays, it'll likely rhyme this time. The downside is a PILT may simply be served while any unfinished business is frozen like the lawsuits were. Delay is delay. #akleg

Gold miners are now cheaper relative to the S&P 500 than at any point in history.
This is the uncomfortable accumulation phase.
Fundamentals remain intact, but prices continue to test investors' conviction.

Today Alaskans celebrate Don Young Day and honor a true Alaska legend.
For 49 years, Congressman Don Young fought for Alaska in Washington. He used every committee chairmanship, every relationship, and every opportunity to make the case for Alaska.
“North to the Future” was more than a motto to Congressman Young, it was a guiding principle. Don Young fought hard to develop our state, grow our resource base, and protect what makes Alaska so special; and it is that same spirit of optimism and opportunity that my team and I endeavor to continue as we work in the Congress on behalf of all Alaska.

BTW when I advanced Bradley Lake, everyone was throwing a fit at its 8.5¢/kWh, which was higher than the 6.5¢ paid then. We should have also done Tiekel in Copper Center too. This winter they paid well north of 55¢/kWh. They would have been at 16¢!
For someone who says they are an expert in oil & gas and world events, well sheesh.
And as for Hex, he wants you, the valley and Anchorage to keep paying $8+/mmbtu .. once @alaskalng operationing including export, we'll be half Hex!

People are beginning to awaken to the thin margin of oil production the world relies on. Energy induced poverty and even incarceration is real for countries that cannot or will not produce. We must encourage production, not stifle it. Renewables cannot solve this. #akleg

People intuitively think that losing 10 mbld is 10x worse than losing 1 mbld ;)
Well they are wrong, it is probably 30-40x worse for the economy.
This is not a linear system, see the 1973 and 1980 oil crisis.
