श्री @kharge का उद्देश्य किसी के व्यक्तिगत अपमान का नहीं रहा है। वे भारत के सबसे अनुभवी राजनेताओं में से एक हैं और प्रधानमंत्री पद की गरिमा को समझते हैं। उनकी मंशा इस गरिमा के खिलाफ कभी हो ही नहीं सकती। "नानी याद दिला देना", "बाप की जागीर समझना" जैसे रिश्तों से जुड़े मुहावरे और लोकोक्तियां भारत की आम बोलचाल का हिस्सा हैं जो सदियों से चली आ रही हैं। जैसे 2025 में संसद में बोलते हुए गृहमंत्री श्री अमित शाह ने "साला" शब्द बोल दिया था। इनका अर्थ व्यक्तिगत न होकर भावनात्मक और अलंकारिक होता है। कल श्री खरगे ने जो कहा, वह भी इसी तरह की आम बोलचाल की शैली है इसलिए इस विषय पर भाजपा को हंगामा करने का अधिकार नहीं है। भाजपा को आज मर्यादा और अमर्यादित भाषा की बातें याद आ रही हैं, लेकिन जब वर्ष 2019 में प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री एवं भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप में शांति स्थापित करने के प्रयासों के लिए शहीद होने वाले श्री राजीव गांधी के लिए अमर्यादित टिप्पणी की थी, तब भाजपा नेताओं की मर्यादा कहां चली गई थी? भाजपा को हर मुद्दे पर राजनीति करने और जनता का ध्यान भटकाने के बजाय लोकतंत्र से जुड़े गंभीर सवालों का जवाब देना चाहिए। कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष श्री मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे के बयान को लेकर भाजपा जिस तरह हंगामा कर रही है, उससे साफ है कि उसके पास जनता के असल मुद्दों पर जवाब देने के लिए कुछ नहीं है। जब उत्तराखंड के हल्द्वानी में श्री खरगे की जनसभा के बाद आरएसएस-भाजपा से जुड़े लोगों ने मंच का शुद्धिकरण किया था, तब यह गंभीर सवाल उठा था कि आखिर भाजपा और आरएसएस की विचारधारा में दलितों के प्रति इतनी घृणा क्यों है? कांग्रेस ने यह मुद्दा संसद में भी उठाया था। उस समय भाजपा के पूर्व राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष श्री जे.पी. नड्डा ने मामले की जांच कराने की बात कही थी। आज सवाल है कि उस जांच का क्या हुआ? जांच के नतीजे जनता के सामने क्यों नहीं रखे गए? इससे भाजपा की कथनी और करनी का अंतर उजागर होता है। आज देश के सामने सबसे बड़ा सवाल वोट चोरी के आरोपों और चुनाव आयोग की निष्पक्षता का है। कांग्रेस, युवा पीढ़ी और पूरा विपक्ष लंबे समय से मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त श्री ज्ञानेश कुमार की भूमिका को लेकर सवाल उठा रहा है। लेकिन इन सवालों पर केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री श्री अमित शाह ने कभी ऐसी गंभीरता नहीं दिखाई। जब विपक्ष और युवा अपने लोकतांत्रिक अधिकारों की रक्षा के लिए आवाज़ उठाते हैं, तब भाजपा जवाब देने के बजाय उन्हें विदेशी ताकतों से जोड़ने और उनकी देशभक्ति पर सवाल उठाने लगती है।

Populist demagogues all over the world who have ruled ruthlessly over years must be in panic. Is it endgame? What a way to start a Monday morning ( IST). What an extraordinary moment for democracy! In Serbia, a fearless student-led movement has defeated Aleksandar Vučić after nearly two years of protests against corruption, violence and authoritarianism. Young people took to the streets, mobilised a nation and converted public anger into electoral victory. 100% democratically achieved success. Students didn’t just protest. They changed history. Meanwhile, in Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has defeated Flávio Bolsonaro, denying Donald Trump another ideological ally in Latin America. Most thought he had no chance after he lost the first round of votes. Two countries. Two powerful democratic verdicts. One unmistakable lesson: political power is never permanent. I have been saying this for long: Don’t fall for the braggadocio on “ We will rule for 50 years etc” from BJP’s Chanakya. It is utter nonsense emerging from vulgar arrogance. Liberal democracy desperately needs this resurgence. Across the world, independent institutions face pressure, dissent is throttled, minorities are targeted and political strongmen increasingly behave as though the Constitution is their personal toilet-roll. Divisiveness has been weaponized, and the critics demonized. It is precisely why India’s Gen Z are on the streets as well; To protect a flailing democracy gone sideways. But let us not get carried away. Having been in the opposition for long, I am circumspect although prodigiously sanguine. The challenges remain. Benjamin Netanyahu’s political future in Israel and Marine Le Pen’s movement in France, which is experiencing a violent turmoil, deserve close attention. They could still win, and we know what the repercussions of their exclusionary politics could be. The silver lining could still be Donald Trump’s likely annihilation in American midterms. A Republican defeat which is being forecasted by most political pundits could dramatically change the global political conversation. But stranger things have happened in America. Remember, the world’s richest man with enormous media clout is funding the Trump campaign. Propaganda is the far-right’s go-to-brainwashing detergent. But for now this morning, from Belgrade to Brasília, the message is electrifying: Fear can be defeated. Young people can change history. The opposition can overcome the institutional capture.
