So today a little bit of my faith in the justice system has been renewed- - took too long - too many people suffered - comments on media that it was unjust show lack of understanding For me- it’s a start Too little too late But a start ❤️to the women affected- so brave x

Flu can be a serious illness, especially for vulnerable people. UK CMOs urge eligible groups to get vaccinated. Healthcare workers have a professional responsibility to protect patients from infectious diseases. We urge them to take up flu vaccination. nhs.uk/nhs-services/vaccinat…

Jehovah's Witnesses don't celebrate Halloween. I guess they don't like random people knocking on their doors.

RIP, Esther Rantzen. Famous for, among many many many things, that incredible clip of Nicholas Winton, the man who saved 669 children in World War II, keeping it secret for 50 years, until his wife found the scrapbook documenting it.

Are they though? Talk to me about the current toll of on call rotas with emergency planning teams of two. Did you just totally lean into the “Skyfall effect” because I think you did….
I would like to thank all those emergency and specialist teams who have acted so swiftly regarding the incident in Gloucestershire.   We can be reassured that this is being dealt with, and it is exactly why our emergency response teams and Armed Forces are on standby 24/7.

My OH, not often one fir discussing feelings and who lost his dad when he was 19, said last night something along the lines of grief isn’t something you do, or get over, it’s something you make peace with. Adjust to, live alongside. Wise.

In GP - cases that presented as “simple” symptoms: “Tummy bug” ➡️ brain tumour “Runny nose” ➡️ sepsis in newborn “Bit of a headache” ➡️ meningitis “Just a little rash” ➡️ skin cancer I’ve been a doctor for 20 yrs - **Simple symptoms do NOT equal simple diagnoses** 🚩
We're making it quicker and easier for people to get the care they need, closer to home. From this autumn, participating pharmacies will be able to assess and treat five additional common conditions. Find out more: england.nhs.uk/2026/09/patie…

Oh sweet lord, did you just say matches and candles 🕯️ @wesstreeting - we have literally spent 5 years educating people not to have these. It’s even on all the preparedness advice sites
Would you know where your torch is in a power cut? Defence Secretary Wes Streeting tells Sky News Defence Insider that Britain needs a national conversation about resilience, asking people to consider how prepared they are for emergencies and disruption.

This simple concept has probably done more for education of children world wide than any other political intervention Amazing and long may it continue
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has gifted more than 300 million books to children - posting carefully chosen books directly to their homes, free of charge. In 2025 alone, it sent out more than 40 million! What a legacy. What a woman. RIP. 📚

Sleep deprivation can cause psychosis, medications can cause psychosis, bipolar can cause psychosis, PPP while rare, includes psychosis, but because she looked “normal” she couldn’t be in psychosis #lindsayclancy

Just been going back over my obesity and women’s health work over my career. Which is extra to my usual GP job No wonder I am bloody tired! Long covid is an added joy 🙄 But I am very lucky to be able to do what I love and teach healthcare professionals and make life better for patients.

Should parents be allowed to take children out of school for a family holiday during term time if their attendance is otherwise excellent?

If your child dies from a preventable illness because you refused to vaccinate them, you should be charged with negligent homicide.

The very subtle mind is so called because it is extremely difficult to recognize. Without the very subtle mind we would have no life because our gross and subtle minds cannot hold our life. ~ Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
