My health has worsened, and I'll be taking most of October off to undergo immunotherapy. When I come back, I'll be freelance. Journalism, research, talks, and anything else I can do remotely from under a blanket. If you want to work with or support me: linktr.ee/rachelcdailey
Is Coral's mum the first time we've seen a disabled queen proudly using a mobility aid on #DragRace? a million seasons all over the world and it being someone's family member is pretty shocking if it is.
Absolutely nothing will prepare you for this absolutely dogshit AI some content creator on Instagram made of him and the Ghosts film poster. It's a treat every time you zoom in
Lads, I cannot implore you all enough to see the Ghosts film. Fuck me it's good. So many callbacks for fans, but welcoming enough if you've never seen the show (also fix that asap). Just such a bloody joy of a film. The creators deserve all the awards.

BREAKING: Canary CEO endorses sexual harasser he kept on because he needed a photographer for his tacky wedding.
Replying to @SadGreg25
"FYI I've obviously seen the latest from the Canary Staff account. For the record, there were never any sexual harassment allegations about [Barold] and no suspicions of any either. These allegations are outrageous and unfounded"

"We don’t need a TV experiment to see disabled people treated as a burden" - My thoughts on Channel 4's #TheExperiement for @IndyVoices
(unpaywalled) archive.ph/DQ4P8

ALT a screenshot from The Experiement showing Sophie Morgan a white blonde woman in a wheelchair and Matt fraser, a white grey haired man with an arms limb difference walking through an old aktion t4 centre. the headline reads "we don't need a tv experiment to see disabled people treated as a burden"
So fucking proud of Frankie and everything she's achieved in the last couple of years
Now the new Ghosts film is out, I’m so proud to shout out from the rooftops a huge congratulations to one of my closest Ghosts buddies & adopted niece @diabolicalfrank who was incredibly lucky to work on this film AND she appears in it!!!! Keep living the dream 👻❤️

To anyone who has subscribed to @TheCanaryUK I’d urge you to cancel your subscription as they’re still taking payments via Stripe. They claim to have been debanked, so makes you wonder who’s account the money is going to.
Please share far and wide.

@TheCanaryUK If you’ve shut down why are you still taking subscriptions payments from people?
I’ve now blocked any future payments and will be contacting my bank to get the payment you took today returned.
Relieved to hear that DNS will be able to continue despite the shit show that is The Canary. Thank you, John, for expressing your concern for staff.
Disability News Service will continue publishing stories, despite indefinite closure of Canary

I'm BEGGING you all to tag spoilers as spoilers instead of a hashtag casual fans won't know to block. This stupid hashtag has caused problems for literally 7 years now
We would like to remind everyone to be careful when posting spoilers as not everybody will be able to see the film when its released. You can use #redlever on any posts so those who have not seen it can avoid them! Thanks everyone and enjoy 👻
People think if you've written a non-fiction book you must be really knowledgable about your specialist subject. And I am, but it mostly just means I have one easier place to go to when I need to rememember a fact 😂

when Ryan Murphy dies, God will greet him with a video clip of the "Don't Stand So Close to Me/Young Girl" Glee mashup and will make him watch the entire thing in complete silence before drop-kicking him into Hell
As the author of the only history book detailing over 100 years of disability rights in the UK, #TheExperiment was utterly baffling to watch. How little they touched on the fact that this rhetoric is still here, and that's WHY so many of the visitors still supported it.
At the end of the day, nobody who watched that will have been against disabled people living in society in the first place. It won't change any minds but will make the the back patters who think they're the most progressive while they don't even use alt text feel good.
This was it for me, there was so much focus on the past. But it completely ignored the fact that day services for learning disabled adults often are just repetitive tasks like bracelet making. That mental health facilities are still like that. xitter.cf/GlenIsOnline/status/21…
If I spoke about the treatment I've had from certain services in the last few years, many eyebrows would raise, and I feel like we're missing a point about how Disabled people are being treated in the here and now.
