I'm hearing people call for testing of asymptomatic patients today in USA. This is a TERRIBLE idea, for several important reasons. While it's true that if we had done a good job earlier that it would be a good idea, as of today, it is a very bad idea for two main reasons

"I'd really feel better if we kept the rituximab going for a bit longer" said no ID physician or ID pharmacist to an oncologist. Ever. AMR is real, overuse of antibiotics in hospitals is a driver and prescribing privileges need to be restricted to the experts.
