Dunblane led to better gun control
Hillsborough led to better ground safety
Shipman led to better medical care
Let us hope that #SarahEverard leads to better policing
First though, the police need to accept that there is a problem of trust
I have yet to see evidence of that

Who to believe? @CitizensAdvice or @SKODAUK @SKODAUK_Media I know who I trust in relation to the law & consumer protection. As a reminder, Skoda have offered me a repair date four weeks after my April-bought car broke down, with a full warranty. It’s unsafe to drive @anna_tims

We are devastated to hear so many traumatised NHS staff saying that they will quit the NHS once the pandemic is through. We cannot afford to lose a single member of staff.
We must look after NHS staff NOW or we risk losing them forever.
RT if you agree.

My lovely brother, David, died in a road accident in 2001. After accompanying us to the inquest, my Mum’s amazing cousin, Roey, set up the Coroners’ Court Support Service @OrgCCSS It’s the charity choice for tomorrow’s @BBCRadio4 appeal. More info here: coronerscourtssupportservice…

1 in 30 people in London now have COVID. NHS staff were shouting from the rooftops that Christmas could risk thousands of lives. Now they are working themselves into the ground trying to stop our capital from being overwhelmed. Please RT and follow us if you stand with NHS staff.

Hey secondary schools, you know we said we wanted you to set things up so you could test all the kids for Covid, like tomorrow? Yeah no, instead we want six weeks of remote tuition, like tomorrow.

So, to be clear, we just sent 3 million children into primary school FOR ONE DAY, so they could all mix around the virus, and *then* go into lockdown? That's what's actually just happened, right? My brain isn't making this up?

Well said @MarcusRashford.
The government might attack him for not having a university degree, but this statement displays more common sense, empathy and intelligence than all of @BorisJohnson’s Cabinet combined.

Ps this is not a ‘gotcha’ moment where we take pleasure in catching Matt Hancock out for being incompetent.
We are genuinely frightened that he knows so little about how the NHS actually works at a time when vaccinations are so imperative.

France 🇫🇷 has banned shops from throwing away unsold food and clothes and instead they have to donate the unsold products to charities and people who need it most.
Please retweet if you think that your country should be doing the same.

Seriously, the fact that *the pub is opening in a fortnight* is more newsworthy than the government removing the right to jury trial? Of greater public interest? Where the hell are your news values?

The example parliament is giving is to force anyone older, vulnerable or with caring responsibilities out of a job rather than use technology to make reasonable adjustments. It's an absolute disgrace. Not to mention profoundly undemocratic

Tomorrow the Govt wants 650 MPs to stand in a giant queue to vote on how the Commons makes decisions from now on. As somebody in the 'vulnerable' category, I am unable to join them.
I am furious that for the first time in my 25 years as an MP I am being denied the right to vote!
