Bear in mind that he was led out unsold at £8,000 as a yearling. "Royal Ascot was an absolutely huge day for everyone. I went there thinking he had a right good each-way chance. I thought he'd be in the first three and when he got up close home, it was amazing. "He really did us proud. He probably could have been a stallion, but he wasn't really well bred enough and might have ended up somewhere we'd have been concerned about – we felt we couldn't do that to him. So he was gelded and lived a nice, happy life here pretty much. "I've been watching that sales race back. He got to the front and thought, 'This is easy', and gave a buck!"

"For a lot of young people, coming out of college, it's kind of embedded in your head that because you're young and fit you should want to be a jockey, but that was never something I wanted to do. "I thought about it, but being a jockey was never really a dream I had and I'm very happy I didn't force myself to do that. I don't think I'd have enjoyed it as much as my job now. "People assume that if you ride, you want to be a jockey, but that's not everyone's goal. Whatever your aim is, you can do it."

Nicky Henderson on Constitution Hill after finishing fifth at San Siro 🗣️ “He’s run a great race. He's got bags of pace. It's just the last 100 yards where he wasn't going to finish off, and he wasn't going to win from there. But he came into the race with the winner and he’s travelled really well. “Slower ground might just help him a little bit. Both Oisin [Murphy] and Ryan [Moore] have said don't go further than a mile and a half and I think we could afford to come back on a trip too, especially on some slower ground. “We're going to hunt down the Paris programme book. I think we'll try to get him to run before the end of the year again on some proper soft ground. “This was his first proper outing since Kempton, which was a prep for something. Overall, it's been tremendous. He's run with great credit and we'll see where we go next.”
