These takeaway owners didn’t just underpay staff, they weaponised visa fear to force a migrant to lie to police about her partner in a fight. Luring people in with opportunity, then using deportation threats & fake documents to control and exploit them. More scam culture we don't need!
This is the AEWV black market I have been putting under a microscope.
From 2022 job tokens under the scheme were openly sold for up to $50k because INZ’s light touch rules gutted the verifications. This has resulted in fake jobs, early firings & migrants treated as leverage...along with incompatible scammers being allowed into the country.
Paying for a NZ job has always been illegal and INZ will decline an AEWV if it thinks money changed hands, yet people still brazenly post they are willing to buy their way in.
@nzfirst has campaigned that they wil scrap the entire AEWV program and put New Zealanders First!
3 real estate agents & a taxi driver called a tradesman to a property for a job & after a dispute about payment they attacked him, dragged him inside and threatened to kill his family. They then accessed his phone and transferred nearly $7000 from his accounts

The Indian Bernadette Soares has turned out be a complete embarrassment to New Zealand First, as expected.
From the start nationalists have called her out as a foreign opportunist who has no place running in a New Zealand election. In fact she should be deported to India with the rest of them.
NZ First have made many mistakes this election that could have been easily avoided if they listened to their nationalist support base, rather than attempting to appease the woke mob with a token DEI hire to point to when they are inevitably accused of racism.
