Very often we do not fully know how the variables in network interacts, so we use #randomgraphs as substitutes for the real network. However, these random graphs - because they're substitutes for real networks - aren’t always useful and this poses a problem.
Did you know that #increasedCO2emissions is decreasing the #nutrients in the food we eat? Or that #deforestation is increasing the propagation of #zoonoticdiseases (passed from animal to humans)? The lecture we organized on #planetaryhealth dealt with this and more. READ ON!!
Therefore, #planetaryhealth, by making us aware of this link, aims to promote practices in education and governance that will lead to a healthier planet and a healthier humanity.
