Havant 'Faux' Patriots, all waving around or draped in imported poppy merchandise made in China, with not a single penny from their sale going to the Royal British Legion. If you see a performative patriot, or poppy poseur call them out.

The media behaviour to both Reeves and Starmer should concern everyone. Whether you agreed with them or not. Shabby journalists should not weld the power to bring down a Government. Particularly a government delivering for ordinary people.

Rachel Reeves was slammed for some of her budget leaking prior. And yet, not a sniff from the same people when it happened with Healey. Nothing against Healey, but the press were out for Reeves from the moment she was announced as CX.
Irony that if Rachel Reeves hadn’t done unglamorous work of restoring fiscal headroom + a disinflationary budget last year, this government would have had to introduce itself to the country with monstrous tax-rising budget. Many of her Labour critics now most indebted to her!

Just asking… Has anybody actually noticed anything improving since the @andyburnham coup ousted @Keir_Starmer..the best Prime Minister we have ever had and @RachelReevesMP our Chancellor ? Go on... I’ll give you a moment to think about it… No? Thought not. All political skulduggery... all that drama.. for what… where’s the improvement? Where’s the progress? Where’s the difference ordinary people can actually feel in their daily lives? Perhaps the only thing that’s improved is the amount of political theatre we’re expected to sit through. But hey... never mind results ... as long as the Burnham show goes on. 🙄

I grew up in a world Dolores Huerta helped make. Every time a worker in this city organizes for a fair wage, every time a tenant, delivery worker, or a nanny stands up and demands better, they join a tradition she forged. She led without asking permission. She organized farmworkers when the country looked away, took the grape boycott to every corner of America, and won protections that changed millions of lives. Her work started in California’s fields, but it was never only for California. Families in New York, in Texas, and in the Midwest followed in her footsteps and learned from her example, without ever meeting her. Her bravery and fight for justice continued until the very end of her life, when she came forward to share the truth about what she had survived -- even though silence would have been easier. She taught us that sí se puede and lived it every day. New York mourns Dolores Huerta. Let us honor her by continuing the work.

We spent £456 billion bailing out the banks after the mess they made of the world economy in 2008. Surely it's time to start paying it back. The problem is, there's a revolving door between our senior politicians and the banks. They don't represent us.

Madeley pushing the "welfare spending is out of control" narrative again this morning. As a % of GDP, welfare spending is lower than it was 10 years ago. Facts don't matter any more. They've been replaced by opinions. Often ill-informed opinions from prats like Madeley. @GMB

£108 a year it utterly pointless. They will just add those costs onto the unit rates. Price rice of 27% incoming too. Whats the fucking point? Time and time again our governments show they are incapable of doing anything significantly positive when it comes to bills
