I was with @Enquirer 30 years ago when inmates took over the state prison in Lucasville. I didn't cover it then. Had a lot of catching up to do for today's look back. Controversial then. Controversial now.

Great news from #Canton, Ohio this afternoon, as the 38th OIP client in our history is about to regain his freedom. Aaron Culbertson was just 16 in 2018 when he was wrongfully convicted. His sister, Valerie, here waits with OIP clients Robert McClendon and Charles Jackson.

Congratulations to OIP client Ruel Sailor for the landmark development this week of having been formally declared by the State of Ohio a wrongfully imprisoned individual. Ruel, who lost 15 years of his freedom, was freed in 2018.
