"Funding genocide is bad" is somehow not a good argument to these people.
It's this American mentality of not caring about anyone outside of the US is easily one of the prime reasons I despise American society.
This.
Am glad I believe in none of these.
Am clear in my mind- Israel is purely a colonial construct imposed on the Palestinians against their will.
Just as colonialism itself shouldn't exist in this day and age, Israel too doesn't have a right to exist.
Yeah.
And virtue-signalling.
And performative morality.
Trump often said the quiet part out loud.
One reason Dem supporters hate him.
How dare he openly say he wants to steal Venezuela's oil?
He's supposed to say "We're spreading democracy in Venezuela".
Like an Obama would've.

The Economist inadvertently says something interesting about the difference between capitalist and socialist democracy.
“India’s political class should consider itself lucky. In next-door China, the Communist Party has to do something much more difficult than winning elections. China’s social contract requires the state to consistently raise living standards, the quality of life and national power in exchange for which citizens keep their noses out of politics. All Indian politicians have to do is to feign interest in their constituents once every five years. Yet instead of accepting this sweetheart deal, Mr Modi’s government is doubling down by suppressing protests that are attempting to enforce it.”
Having studied the Chinese political system and having travelled to China many times, I can say with some confidence that “citizens keeping their noses out of politics” is very much not an ambition of the CPC. There are extensive, growing networks of grassroots democracy. What is true, however, is that the government is expected to deliver for the needs of the people.
Meanwhile, the right to elect people who “feign interest in their constituents” is not actually that important to the hundreds of millions of Indians who live in desperate poverty. I am in New Delhi right now. It’s in many ways a delightful city, but the levels of poverty and inequality – along with the general dysfunction, political repression and religious/caste prejudice – are heartbreaking.
It may be tough to swallow, but the fact is that China is substantially more democratic than the capitalist countries.

The Dems learned that they can do a live streamed G’cide with zero accountability, and amnesiac Americans obsessed with algae ponds will literally cheer their return to power provided they allow a few slick talking browns to ascend their ranks

There is literally a massive election going on in China RIGHT NOW, with 2.6 million grassroots representatives being selected by one BILLION registered voters.

The U.S. public isn’t just gullible - they’re largely active accomplices in imperialism. Every imperial war proves the same pattern: propaganda works on them because they want to believe it. They’re eager participants in the fantasy of racial superiority & military invincibility.

The American public doesn’t hate war. They cheered or stayed silent when the Trump admin waged war against Yemen, Venezuela, Somalia, and other countries. What they can’t stand is when war stops being an abstract news story and starts impacting their own routines

Let's be precise about what the Epstein network actually was.
Not a "sex scandal." Not a tabloid story about a weird billionaire and his famous friends. Not a trafficking case in the sanitized, clinical language that makes it sound like a logistics problem.
It was a blackmail infrastructure for the ruling class.
Epstein didn't accumulate powerful men by accident. He accumulated them by design.
The private island. The private jet logs. The hidden cameras. The underage girls.
This was an intelligence operation.
A systematic, decades-long project to compromise the people who run governments, banks, media companies, universities, and courts.
And when he was arrested the second time, when it was finally impossible to make it disappear:
He died in federal custody.
Suicide, they said.
In a cell where the cameras malfunctioned.
With guards who had both fallen asleep.
After his previous suicide attempt had already put him on watch status.
The medical examiner hired by his brother found evidence consistent with homicide. The official medical examiner ruled it suicide.
And the name list, the full, unredacted list of everyone Epstein brought to that island and those houses and those parties, remains sealed.
Protected by the same judicial system that is supposed to protect you.
This is not a conspiracy theory.
The documents, the flight logs, the depositions, the testimony, all of it is real, much of it is public, and what it shows is a power structure that protects itself from accountability at every level.
The people on that list run your country.
They run your media.
They run your courts.
They are still running everything.
And they will call you a "conspiracy theorist" for noticing.

Absolutely.
Delhi doesn’t quite get the credit it deserves.
Apart from these aspects, Delhi is a historian’s delight.
And it has wonderful libraries too.
Fix safety and pollution, it’d be one of the world’s best cities.
Delhi is such a 🐐 city
Almost 416 kms metro network with 300+ stations, one can go basically anywhere with a metro nearby and with more than 95 kms in construction - it will cross 500 kms !!
Already larger than london or NYC or any other western metro system !!
Coupled with rrts which runs to Meerut and construction of rrts to Alwar & Panipat plus the largest airline connectivity within India & globally - Delhi nails connectivity like no other metro city in vishwaguru
Yamuna is now also finally building river front, if it gets cleaned and a major green cover expansion in Delhi - it will be such a nicer city to live !!
Improve the safety & policing & Delhi moggs all other cities !!
NCR is also slated to be a $1T economic region in next decade & half !!
MMR & NCR at both $1T economic regions will be such a massive boost to economy !!
Coupled with half a trillion dollar economic region around BLR & India’s 3 major cities will make more gdp than entire India of 2014 !!!

Amazing how Americans are so chauvinistic they expect us victims of USA imperialism around the world to cheer on the continuation of a bipartisan imperial strategy. Maybe at least stop the bombs dropping first before you demand our celebration for your internal shift of policy.

Perhaps he uses words loosely but “first among equals” is the argument that what America does should be international law, not that it will follow the law, or that the law is universally applied
Abdul El-Sayed on Israel:
My foreign policy views are very simple. I just think we should be the first among equals to enforce international law.
I would argue that Israel is the greatest outlier when it comes to the behavior of the government of Israel relative to the approbation you would expect them to get versus what they actually get.
They've been able to sustain an apartheid system, which is the only thing you can call sustained nearly six decade long occupation of a people in Gaza and the West Bank.
They did a genocide in Gaza. They led us into a war. Benjamin Netanyahu came to the situation room, made the argument for a war. He finally had a dupe big enough who was willing to do it.
But think about war aims. We had no clear war aims for that war. Israel had clear war aims. And one of those big war aims seems to be setting up for the annexation of southern Lebanon.
And we do all of this and all of this has been done while our stated policy in the region is that we believe in a two-state solution, which is wild because we're aiding, arming, and abetting the very government that is attempting to foreclose on the possibility of a second state openly.
And so I'm just saying that we should treat Israel the way we treat any other country that did the same stuff.
Govt will do everything to discourage public transport, and increase sale of private vehicles.
Then, with traffic worsening, push flyovers and tunnel projects to fill contractors' (and their own) pockets.
It starts with intent.
Everything else (priority, budget etc) comes later.
If anyone chooses public transport in Bengaluru, punish them with fare hikes of up to 71% in Metro & 67% in BMTC buses.
Relocate bus shelters away from convenient locations, delay Metro projects & insist on end-to-end double-decker flyovers. Is this how Bengaluru plans to encourage public transport? @CMofKarnataka
