if google decides it wants you to watch a video, you'll see that video no matter what. if x decides a post must be seen, it'll keep showing it until it gets full distribution. it's self-fulfilling. more distribution -> more likes -> you think it's viral. it works the other way too. if x decides it doesn't like a post, you won't see it even if you follow or subscribe to the account. the platform decides what content you see. not you. so yes, the proposal is fair.
The IT Ministry has begun discussions on a sweeping overhaul of India’s social media regulatory framework, including a proposal to withdraw the legal immunity available to platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and X for content posted by their users, The Indian Express has learnt. The emerging view within the government is that social media platforms can no longer be considered passive carriers of information, given their use of sophisticated algorithms to rank, recommend and amplify content, and their ability to moderate posts based on their own community guidelines, which may not always align with Indian laws. Such practices, a section of the government believes, amount to exercising editorial control over content, raising questions about whether these companies should continue to enjoy the same legal protections as traditional intermediaries. The government’s thinking has also received impetus from recent observations by the Supreme Court in the Just Rights for Children Alliance vs S Harish case, where the court raised concerns about social media companies’ failure to adequately prevent the circulation of child sexual exploitation and abuse material. indianexpress.com/article/bu…

Modi has made it clear from beginning itself that Salaried class, is his ATM The only subsidy which was available to taxpayers, was cooking Gas. First he decieved you to surrender it voluntarily, then after Aadhar linkage, he took it away basis salary Then slowly apartments were equipped with gas pipelines, so if somehow you were still getting subsidy....it was gone Landlawdas, Madarkisans, people who earn in cash...not impacted, only the salaried class Then to spite them even more he launched Ujjawala for streets#itters, first bottle free and then upto 12 subsidized 3% of population paying for subsidies for everyone but get nothing for themselves, zero, zilch, nada... And that macrohard has gall to say "jo mila woh hajam"....

to the most respected finance minister. i have a doubt. please find time to answer me. you say that the venue for a debate is the parliament. you say that my home minister, amit shah has offered a special session to debate. you say that if rahul gandhi - the leader of opposition, wants to debate my prime minister, he should come to the parliament. ma'am, let's start by pointing out some facts. jul 20 - the parliament session opens. narendra modi, the ever so hon'ble prime minister - addresses the media - outside the parliament. he asks for a fact-based debate. jul 24 - Amit Shah's National Honour Bill is introduced in Rajya Sabha, by Nityanand Rai, who is MoS for home affairs. Jairam Ramesh asks "Where is the Cabinet Minister". This is present in the RS Transcript. jul 29 - Rahul Gandhi, the leader of opposition - asks "why is the Home Minister not here today?". This is also present in the LS Transcript. jul 30 - Rahul Gandhi asks "why Shah is so scared of coming to Parliament" aug 4 - Amit Shah, is seen in the parliamentary complex. at an NDA Parliamentary Party Meeting. He Doesn't enter the house. as per reporting from Navbharat Live. aug 6 - Mallikarjun Kharge, in Rajya Sabha, asks "Why is the Prime Minister not coming? Why is the Home Minister not coming?" as Per Kerala Kamudi - this is consistent with the RS transcript. aug 11 - congress MP Manickam Tagore attacks the absent home minister. as per reporting by the ANI. aug 12 - Amit Shah says to the media, "have been coming to Parliament regularly since the Session began; I sit in my chamber." talking to the media, at around 12:30 PM, Amit Shah offered "If the Opposition wrote to the speaker, there would be a debate from 3 PM wednesday (12 aug - the same day) to 3 PM thursday (13 aug - the next day) this was roughly a 2 hour window to submit the letter. he further said "I will sit in the House; I will listen to everyone and respond to every point." Rahul Gandhi said "We are not interested in listening to his lecture, Who shot those students? Who blinded that student? Who ordered the lathi charge?" this referred to the Pellet Shots fired at the Student, Sahil Lochav. He asked about the Lathi Charge that happened in the protests on July 20th. The Opposition wanted a statement from Shah about this, Shah wanted them to submit a letter to the speaker, in a window of roughly 2 hours - after not being present for 17 straight settings. with no recorded appearance. aug 13 - Lok Sabha sits for 4 minutes. 11:00 AM to 11:04 AM. The National Song, Vande Mataram, is played. and then, the house is adjourned sine die. Both ever so honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah were present on these days. for the 4 minutes. --- Respected Finance Minister Ma'am, These were the facts I have pointed out. I have not said anything that was my own opinion. I have not framed the facts in a way that support any party. My facts were gathered by scraping Documents from the LS and RS portal, OCR'ing the PDFs, then parsing them and then Aggregating News Sources. - and pointing out facts from them. Cold, Hard, Records. I have not asked any questions yet - which I will do now. I am a human. I have evolved Pattern Seeking skills. I spot a pattern here. I see that for the entirety of the Monsoon Session, Prime Minister Modi, and Home Minister Shah, did not utter a word on the record of the Lok Sabha. They were not present in the house except for the last 4 minutes, on the last day. Shah says "He was sitting in his cabin", Ma'am, I don't think debates happen when you sit alone in a cabin. It happens on the floor, where the other side can ask questions too. I don't see a meaningful debate happening in an environment like the Parliament. I say this with utter disappointment. If Parliament is the venue for debate, why did the two most senior members of the government not speak there once in 19 sittings? And why was the one offer to debate made to the press on the 18th day, with a deadline of a couple of hours? Why are there "offers" even? I think it is your responsibility to be in debates because that is your entire job. As you say, "Demanding answers also carries an obligation to hear them." -- Well, were Amit Shah or Narendra Modi, hearing the Questions being asked? They were not in the house even. Please Answer my Doubts. I would be very obliged if you do so. Regards, Sarthak
Rahul ji, you ask the Prime Minister to choose a venue for a debate. There is already one: Parliament, where you happen to be the LoP. Just yesterday, Home Minister Shri @AmitShah offered a special session to debate SIR and EVMs. Why not show the same enthusiasm for a debate in Parliament that you show while issuing challenges on social media? Demanding answers also carries an obligation to hear them. There have been several occasions when you and your party have walked out of Parliament while the government was responding to your allegations. How do you claim to be so eager for a debate when you don’t even stay to hear the other side? It doesn’t stop at walkouts. You and the INDI Alliance have repeatedly disrupted proceedings, leading to entire sittings being washed out. If you are so keen on debating, why not allow Parliament to function in the first place? And then there’s the mock Parliament you recently held at the Congress President’s residence. Frankly, that was more a ‘mockery of Parliament’ than a ‘mock Parliament’. You found the time and enthusiasm for that exercise. Surely, the real Parliament deserves at least as much. You speak endlessly about protecting democracy and the Constitution. But that respect should also reflect in how you treat the institutions they have established. As for the issues you frivolously raise, bring specific allegations and evidence to back them up. Simply throwing together a long list of accusations doesn’t make your case any stronger. As LoP, you are expected to show some seriousness and responsibility. You say, “Daro mat.” Then bring the facts, face the scrutiny and stay to hear the answers. In the House, uphold the standards of debate you demand from others.

After DOGE, Elon came to a conclusion most people missed. He tried to reform the state from the inside. He failed. And he said it plainly: the government can't fix its own deficit. Nobody in power actually wants to cut. The machine protects itself. So he drew the only logical conclusion. If the state can't be reformed, there are only two ways this ends. Either global bankruptcy. Debt keeps compounding, interest payments eat the budget, and the system collapses under its own weight. Or robots. AI and robotics grow the economy so fast that the debt becomes manageable, and abundance makes the old fights over scarcity irrelevant. Here's the part almost nobody sees. For two centuries, capitalism has had a marketing problem. Its gains are real but slow and invisible. 2% growth a year doesn't feel like anything. Your life gets better over 30 years and you never connect it to the system that did it. Meanwhile, the left's promises feel immediate and concrete: a check, a subsidy, a benefit. That's why the left wins on promises even when it can't deliver them. Capitalism produces the wealth, socialism takes the credit. Robots break that asymmetry. When productivity doubles in a few years instead of a few decades, people will see it. Things get cheaper, services get better, opportunities appear, in real time. For the first time in history, people will connect capitalism and their rising standard of living directly, almost instantly. The causal chain becomes visible. And that changes everything politically. So there are two scenarios. Scenario one: we stay in the current inertia. No breakthrough, or a breakthrough we regulate to death. The debt wins. Living standards stagnate, then fall. A frustrated electorate turns to whoever promises the most, and that pushes toward a hard collectivist left. But collectivism fails, as it always does. And when it fails, the most organized, most disciplined collectivist force left standing isn't the old left. It's radical Islamism. Bankruptcy, then communism, then something worse. Scenario two: robots win. Abundance arrives, and it arrives visibly. The link between free enterprise and prosperity becomes obvious to everyone. And this is the key point: it becomes obvious to everyone, including the minorities the left was counting on. Because their long-term incentive is the same as everyone else's. A kid in the suburbs gains infinitely more from a booming, abundant West than from a bankrupt state handing out promises it can't keep. Abundance is the most powerful integration machine ever built. That's the Western renaissance. The West doesn't need to win the culture war by arguing. It needs to win it by delivering. And for the first time, it has the technology to deliver fast enough for people to notice. The race isn't left vs right anymore. It's robots vs bankruptcy.

How India Can Seize Technology Leadership: Dr. Mashelkar’s Blueprint India’s top scientist who ignited Mukesh Ambani’s Jio ambitions shares eye-opening INSIGHTS on India’s technology potential and what is stopping India:. Poverty Provokes Innovation a. Padma Vibhushan Raghunath Mashelkar transformed India’s premier scientific organizations CSIR and NPL. Mukesh Ambani waited for him to retire, and then asked him to create Reliance Innovation Council with Nobel Laureates and global academics. b. When Jio was just an idea, Mukesh Ambani remarked: “Doc, we must leapfrog.” Dr. Mashelkar replied: “Mukesh, do you know why does a frog leap? Because it is afraid of the predator. So, it jumps a few feet. You don’t have to jump a few feet. You must pole vault. That involves risk.” Jio became one of the largest corporate bets in history with the untested 4G LTE technology. c. In Dec 2025, Mukesh Ambani spoke in his honour at an event: Dr. Mashelkar was brought up by his widowed mother in a chawl in utter poverty. His mother was refused a daily-wage job because the minimum qualification was third standard. That’s when she vowed her son would receive the highest education in the world. How India Can Pole Vault a. India’s Weakness: “Indian industry has never come forward to invest in R&D. Bulk of R&D work in India remains confined to Technology Readiness Level TRL 1 to 4 (laboratory level). Why? Because TRL 5 to 7 requires long-horizon risk capital. (TRL 9 is commercial). That is missing in India,” says Dr. Mashelkar. b. India’s Strength: “India’s talent is its strength. See how Indians perform in Silicon Valley. When legendary GE CEO Jack Welch set up the Jack Welch R&D Center in Bangalore 25 yrs ago, he was asked why are you here? He replied: “Because I get the highest intellectual capital per dollar in India.” c. Until 1989, India had zero international patents. In 1989, Dr. Mashelkar took over as director of National Chemical Laboratory (NCL). Within 3 hours of joining, he made a daring claim to the NCL team of 1,100 (note: just like Elon Musk does): “India will license patents to the rest of the world.” d. “We had zero culture of patenting, and here I was telling the NCL community we will license our technology to multi-billion global chemical giants like DuPont and Dow Chemical. Why was I doing that? Because I knew that the NCL scientists sitting in that auditorium had world-class talent.” e. A young scientist approached me after the lecture and said: “Do you know GE’s R&D budget is 2.5 times entire India’s R&D budget?” I told him what matters is the power of an idea and mindset. We will change the rules of the game. f. We had no budget, no imported equipment, no industrial ecosystem. But we could do mathematical modeling and simulation end-to-end in the lab. That required only talent. We aimed for a new breakthrough in polycarbonate, where GE was the leader with 40% world market share. g. My team said: “If this technology was doable, GE would have done it.” In India whenever you talk of cutting-edge technology, the industry asks: “Has the US done it? Has Japan done it? So how can we do it?” Tech innovators in US & China don’t ask this question. They don’t care what others have done or not done. h. “You know what? We got the global patent. GE R&D in the US was surprised that some crazy lab in Chennai had beaten them. They sent down a team. When they saw our talent, they said we will partner with you. That’s how the Jack Welch R&D Center came up.” i. Rising to Your Potential: The same people at NCL who were just copying others, were able to achieve international patents. From import substitution, we became an export-oriented lab in one year. All that had changed was the mindset. It became a case study at Harvard Business School. “Every individual has a Mukesh Ambani in them. It’s just a question of rising to your potential," says Dr. Mashelkar. 5 Ways to Become a Tech Powerhouse a. Dr. Mashelkar’s 5-Pillar Framework: The 1st way is you invent a new technology. The 2nd way is you buy a technology (strategic acquisition). The 3rd way is: “Buy to Make Better.” It means you buy with an intention to make cheaper & better yourself. China does that using iterative R&D (reverse engineering). b. 4th Way: “Make to Buy Better”: India needed AOS chemical technology. We went to Arimitsu, then Chevron, then Shell. All refused. They viewed us as a potential competitor. So, we decided to make it ourselves. We reached pilot plant stage (TRL 4). At that point, finance dept turned us down. c. A competitor told me: “We were keeping a watch on you. If you had gone for the pilot plant, we would have given you the technology. Because we knew you will become our competitors.” That is called “Make to Buy Better.” When you want to shake hand with someone, they will look at the strength of your hand. d. 5th Way: “Make it Together”: When I was heading CSIR in 2000, the Finance Minister called me and said he wanted to give something to scientists in the first budget of the new millennium. “Give me an idea in 30 minutes.” e. I wrote my idea: “Indian industry is behind the curve due to no risk-taking. So, let govt take the risk and give money to pvt sector.” FM granted ₹50 cr. It was a big amount in 2000 just for “gambling” in risky technologies. Govt doing that was unheard of. f. It worked because Ministry of Science, Planning Commission, and Bureaucracy were all bypassed. We formed a public-private initiative with ₹50 cr seed money. Our first product was a cutting-edge bioinformatics software. TCS and 19 Indian genomics labs worked in sync like an orchestra. g. In 18 months, our software product BioSuit was launched in Silicon Valley, and proved 10x better & cheaper than best-in-class. “By the time I retired in 2006, we had 250 public institutions and 100 private companies working together on new technologies.” h. Govt Has to Have Ambition: China has refused Lithium-Ion battery tech to India. KPIT has created its own sodium-ion battery. It is at TRL-7 now. To reach TRL-9 (commercial), it needs govt’s backing. (Just the way China supported BYD & others.) i. Technologies that make the world bend before you don’t emerge from playing it safe. Chasing moonshot ideas (like US/China innovators) requires a culture where failure is celebrated. Chandrayaan-3 succeeded because Chandrayaan-2 failed. Every mistake of Chandrayaan-2 was identified and not repeated. Endpiece: Convex Lens Leadership At his municipal school, Dr. Mashelkar’s physics teacher Principal Bhave gave a demo of convex lens under the sun. He then turned and said: “Mashelkar, if you concentrate your energies like this and not diffuse (waste) them, you can burn the world.” Dr. Mashelkar says: “India needs convex lens leadership today.”
