Hey AB Fans - we’ve recently seen some concern re: delisting of Bad Piggies and Angry Birds Transformers. Neither of these games are supposed to be broadly delisted. There was a technical issue preventing them from appearing in some regions where they were meant to be available.

Bad Piggies and Angry Birds Transformers have been delisted from iOS App Stores in more than 20 countries. Regions on the attached list can no longer download these games. Note that this list is not exhaustive—there may be more to follow. Updates will be provided.
A list of countries in which Bad Piggies and Angry Birds Transformers are no longer listed on the iOS App Store. All countries listed are missing Bad Piggies. Countries also missing AB Transformers are placed on the left and italicized. *Belarus and Russia had all Rovio titles pulled in 2022 as part of ongoing international sanctions.

I don't know if I've conveyed this well enough but sometimes I really feel like shit over the things I used to say about the folks at Rovio with feelings I don't really harbor anymore. These days it boils down to Look I get y'all are trying your best and I appreciate that

‼️FOUND MEDIA‼️ Fact #34: A pitch for The Angry Birds Movie from around 2012/2013 by Sony has recently been unearthed. The trailer shows a wildly different concept from the final movie, being a disaster movie similar to Pixels or The Smurfs live-action adaptation.

we have to have the uncomfortable conversation and say the Angry Bird Movies are the best video game movies by a wide margin

The Angry Birds Movie DVD has a "Symphony Mode" Bonus feature. Which plays the film without any sound effects or dialogue. I really wish other films had this as a bonus feature cuz this is actually really cool!

Rovio's in-house GenAI toolset is named "Pigasso", a part of their Beacon live service platform. In a semi-recent keynote with AWS, they admit that they've been shipping AI-generated assets in their games via live events and content updates. 🧵
