This isn’t pro- or anti- Sheeran, Gaye, lawsuit, anything. Purely curious about perception. What song is this? LGIO, TOL, other?
I generally leave the memes to others, but in a once-in-a-lifetime fluke of my arranging schedule, I am legitimately working on this for a client today, so guess what you’re not done trying to get out of your head
Brain decided to woodshed while I was trying to fall asleep last night. Bonus points for anyone who can name the jazz standard for which it was apparently more important to write this lick at midnight than get actual rest like a grown-up

With the thoroughly swoonworthy @eblairbaldwin, who disregarded all sound counsel and tolerated wifening.

I was trying to think of the name of the class on this topic that I used to teach at a cappella festivals. Today, FB memories came through.
Tremendously excited for this video to drop tonight! The hugely talented Armand Hutton - a Grammy-nominated arranger himself - brought me in to arrange the debut release from his new solo project. You might recognize other faces (& voices) as well. 9pmEST! youtu.be/AbOggOe57eI

Ok so I have two - vertical line plus squiggle, and single-stroke squiggle - with no rhyme or reason as to when I use each (might change from one staff to the next). I’m similarly inconsistent with 2’s, 8’s, and capital i’s, in case that makes it less chaotic oh no
