a european accelerator approached me recently somewhere in the conversation they mentioned a monthly accelerator fee on top of equity wait what equity is supposed to be the most valuable thing a founder gives away. it's your bet on us. if we win, you win. so why do you also need my cash every month? that's not a bet. that's a paid service with a seat on my cap table. in an AI-native world a founder can ship an MVP in a weekend, find first users on X and get warm intros from DMs honestly i'm surprised who still calls themselves an accelerator and who still raises through them founders, be honest: would you pay monthly AND give up equity?

when i was a first-time founder, one thing always bugged me why do second-time founders get priority? what's their edge? now i get it they have clarity. they know what not to build they have connections. the right people already pick up the phone they have systems. they don't start from zero every monday clarity + connections + systems = speed and speed is the edge not even an ivy league first-timer has that on day one if you're a first-time founder, what are you building first: clarity, connections or systems?

ok @AnthropicAI 's S-1 is out and i can't stop looking at these numbers $16.3B revenue in the first half of this year. a year ago it was $1.16B and their customers keep spending way more once they're in. like 9x more that's the part i keep thinking about. nobody buys the whole thing on day one. they try one thing, it works, they come back for more what do you think?
