Today, we remember the heroes of D-Day - June 6, 1944.
Through extraordinary courage and sacrifice, American troops stormed the beaches of Normandy, defeated tyranny, and helped secure freedom for generations to come.
Their legacy lives on. America remains forever grateful. 🇺🇸

82 years ago nearly all of the men on the first few boats that landed on the beach in Normandy were dead before days end.

Many of them are boys, they are someone’s son, someone’s brother, someone’s sweetheart someone’s father.
They never came home.
