I've had really solid results with my recent SWC qualification and EWC run and considering I've managed this while having limited travel opportunities and time with my fulltime job, I believe I have potential to go further. I'll be looking for a team for COTW for the next year.

COTW discourse is so funny because something happens and 5,000 people who have never touched the game start speaking like it killed their grandma.

Would like everyone to extend some grace here; Sony didn't make this decision lightly. The PlayStation was getting dangerously close to having a game, and drastic counter-measures had to be taken in response.

An update from PlayStation Studios: After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to step away from collaborating with KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS on its project PHYSINT. We continue to have great admiration for Hideo Kojima's vision for the game. Our relationship remains strong after three decades of industry-leading, genre-defining creative cooperation, and we look forward to continued close collaboration with Hideo Kojima and his award-winning independent studio in the future.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
PlayStation's statement presents the PHYSINT split as a mutual "step away" after careful consideration with future collaboration expected. Kojima stated PlayStation unexpectedly notified cancellation in mid-June 2026, forcing a 3-month search for a new partner (Xbox). kotaku.com/xbox-swoops-in… variety.com/2026/gaming/ne…

Birthday and turning 24 today. Didn't plan anything for today so clipdumb of my past 4 months, when I decided to pick up Melee. Game's sick, maybe I'll be able to L-cancel soon ;)

Unintentional or not, this was an absurd popoff-cancel, saving the lives of the front row seats from a level 9 Hbox popoff if he won a game 15 grands to win a major vs Cody. Potentially saving Hbox himself from his own popoff too. Good guy Cody.
