And their political opinions too, while we're at it. Players deserve to know everything.
Now that Steam Next Fest is over, which demo are you still thinking about? Not the one with the longest feature list. The one that made you forget you were playing a demo. #SteamNextFest #gamedev
A button says 'Go' and the UI looks finished.
Then localization arrives with a word that needs its own parking space.

A gamedev's idea folder: 40 games that would each change the industry. A gamedev's current project: 4 finished features and a settings menu that doesn't open. #gamedev
The AI debate in Steam Next Fest keeps missing a step. 'Made with AI' covers everything from a fully generated game to one AI-assisted texture. Until we talk about how much and where, the complaints and the defenses are both shouting at shadows. #SteamNextFest #gamedev
Every indie game ships with at least one bug the developer officially renames 'a feature'. It's in the patch notes and everything. #gamedev
Next Fest devs, time to share the receipts. Drop your wishlist numbers below, from before the Fest and right now. Every number helps another dev calibrate their own. #SteamNextFest #indiedev

Good test. Ten seconds is about what a Next Fest visitor gives a page anyway, so the pitch has to land fast.

Genuine question: how do you suggest an indie dev market their game? I wish there were a magic formula. And is every game shared under a thread like this really low effort, or just the ones that look rushed?
