Has Healey resigned on principle again, yet? Has Streeting resigned again yet? On resigning from Keir Starmer's governmet, Healey said "you have been unable, and the Treasury has been unwilling, to commit the resources that the nation needs to defend the country at this time of rising threats.” So, is the Treasury now willing to commit those resources and, if so, from where will the funding be found?
Andy is 'here, there and everywhere'. Let's hope he isn't a 'Nowhere Man' 'cause it's a 'hard day's night'.
For what it is worth, I think Burnham is making a good fist of his 'honeymoon'. For many, Andy is refreshingly different to the rather steady Keir. But it is the steady Keir that was necessary to make it possible for Andy to be bold. But we should be cautious, if optimistic. Changing the scenery of the entrance to a building can give the appearance of action, but it can also be as futile as changing the deck chairs on the Titanic. But let's not be churlish. If he can put substance into the devolution of decision-making, then that could be good for local economies and for enterprises. After all, that is why it was in the Labour manifesto in 2024.

I am reposting this after listening to Burnham today.
I stick by what I say, even more so perhaps.

Bollocks to his coup too.
Who the fuck does he think he is?
