Eventually Charley found him (YAY) and started taking him home. Barley felt this overwhelming feeling of guilt since he felt it was all his fault that Charley had to get out of his comfy bed to come save him. Being drunk definitely didn’t help his emotions regulate either

Barley not only feared getting his ear chewed off, but also worried Charley wouldn’t even wake up to hear the call. Barley only had ON nickel so it was genuinely his only shot at getting home, unless he decided to try and walk 😭

He originally didn’t want to because he hated bothering Charley this late at night. Plus Charley had advised him it wasn’t a good idea to go but barely didn’t listen

He had no idea what to do because not only was he super drunk, he had no CAR. And slowly everyone else was starting to leave. He had no idea who else was even gonna head back to his town so he hesitated asking. The taxis stopped running too since it was like 2 am 💔

Eventually barley had to go vomit so while he was in the bathroom doing that, his friends all left because they were tired, couldn’t find him and assumed he had “found another ride home”
So barley spent the next 40 minutes drunkly trying to find them
