Other than Supergirl, James Gunn has had a fantastic track record when it comes to movies and TV shows. So I don't understand how people can claim he's a failure. If anything, his track record says otherwise.
We're not getting the original T'Challa. We're getting T'Challa Jr. because Ryan Coogler and Kevin Feige refused to recast the character. #BlackPanther
After reading the first issue of Avengers, I have to say I'm a little underwhelmed.
I'm not saying it was a bad issue, but the storytelling felt a bit all over the place. I understand that this is primarily a setup issue, especially considering that the Avengers are coming together during such a turbulent time following the fallout of Avengers: Armageddon. The creative team has a lot of groundwork to establish, so I'm willing to give the story some time to find its footing.
For me, the highlight of the issue was easily the confrontation between Spider-Man and David Colton. That fight was the one of most interesting parts of this story.
Overall, I'm giving the first issue a 6.8/10. Not terrible by any means, but not particularly impressive either. Hopefully, the next issue delivers a stronger, more focused narrative.

Wrapped up a Marvel project last month. It might be the favorite thing I've ever written. It's an incredibly personal story set in a world I've dreamed up for a very long time.
Consider these images as hints, and stay excited for an announcement soon.
What does Ultimate Black Panther having its own series have to do with the lack of an ongoing Black Panther series in the main 616 universe? #BlackPanther
By the way, it's been 958 days since Black Panther last had an ongoing series set in the main 616 universe. Fans have been asking for a new ongoing series, not more miniseries, cameo appearances, or supporting roles in other characters stories. There's a difference, and that distinction matters.

So we must buy nonsense? It's fine to see your character get assassinated and keep paying for it? No #RecastTchalla

Is the Black Panther work in the room with us?
There is no nuance. We can debate it live tonight. This is blatant neglect. Black folks were shocked last week when I told them that Spawn has more single issues than Tchalla has collectively not even just his solo ongoing. It is a damn shame and Marvel needs to figure it out and quit playing games.
Hey @JPenumbra Iโm from a time where we didnโt have 24 PANELS of the black panther ๐ the other side of your discussion is โฆ. We have a lot of black panther work and some good people working on them. We are not played at all .. itโs nuances to expand on champ

Dawson Idris has sparked online buzz after sharing photos of himself dressed as BLADE for Halloween
The current state of Marvel shows that they'd rather relegate Black Panther to a background character in major events or force him to share the spotlight with characters who have killed people from his homeland. Either way, Marvel's current editorial staff doesn't give a fuck about Black Panther, and it shows. #BlackPanther

And it ain't like Bryan Hill was delivering an Abs WW level performance either.
Kelly Thompson is dropping a badass new look, updated power set and cool fights.
Hill gave us Punch & Kick Man...Boring Fights. And a story that may be inspired by Dune but wasn't even 1% as Good.
