#readingfc second goal came from a some quick passes to catch the Barnsley defence out of shape. Wing is able to intercept the ball and get it to Stokes. Lisbie is then able to sit on the last man and get in behind, and tuck the ball in-between the keepers legs.
Overall, it was a very scrappy game in general, and was definitely not a good performance from #readingfc. However we were still able to get the result which in the end is all that matters. Hopefully we can improve our performances before a string of difficult away days.
Was very much a good result from a poor performance. Neither side looked brilliant but its good we were still able to get the result. #readingfc

Jacob Brown plays better as an impact sub rather than a starter. Think it's safe to say, Reid can outmuscle and lead the line better for the majority of games.

Looking at #readingfc goal, we can see it came from some good movement from Lisbie, Wing and Stokes who are able to win it high up the pitch. Wing then does well to play the ball and utilise some space to provide Reid with an option, before laying it off to Lane to smash it.
Overall, this was probably #readingfc worse game in attacking and creating chances, but was saved by our performance in the other areas of the pitch. The result was what we needed after Wigan, and hopefully we can get back to our typical performances before Barnsley.
An alright performance tonight. Didn't like how defensive we went after scoring but glad we had the grit to make it through to the end. Shout out to Joel who had a brilliant game after some recent stick.

Really disappointed not to see Ahmed make his way into the first team today. Thought Leam would move Dokes into CB alongside Paudie. Hopefully Dorsett can give us a reason for him to start over others.

Looking at the goal we conceded, we can see its down to individual errors from our defence. Dorsett steps forward breaking the back line, and also leaving O'Connor to deal with Saydee. The long ball isn't dealt with and Pereira palms it to Hogan, who should be marked by Dorsett.
Overall, I think this is down to individual player performances being poor rather then the tactics. Too many chances wasted chances and mistakes at the back cost us what should have been a routine win. Hopefully we can get back to form with back to back home games #readingfc.
