The primary reason people don't achieve big goals is because they don't realize that the only source of truth is making mistakes. They soak up advice and theory, expecting it to be an exact match to their mind, experience, and situation just to fail once and give up completely.
Without a doubt, the best thing to ever happen to me was dating my now wife, since we were 16 (now 12 years together).
For many years of our life where she was the only one earning real money. I remain thankful and indebted to her forever. She believed when no one else did!
“The one thing money can’t buy,” said Luckey, “is people who liked you before you had money. I’m very lucky that I met my wife back when I had literally nothing. When we met, I had less than $300 in my bank account … I probably should have gotten married, should have married her when I was 16. Looking back, I think that’s probably my radical belief.”

The founder arc:
– I can’t believe no one’s done this
– I’m gonna build it
– Wait someone did
– But they sucked
– So I’ll do it better
– Oh god they actually didn’t suck
– I already tweeted it, so I have to keep going
I am now, more than ever, a firm believer in UGC content led growth for consumer apps.
I have been completely locked into TikTok organic growth for Foxy over the last 5 months. Studying every single piece of the flywheel.
This week:
- Over 800,000 organic views
- 5,000+ comments
- 10,000 bookmarks
It's still early, we need to be doing 800,000 views a day, BUT we are on the right path.
Next steps
- 100+ posts per day
- 20+ creators
- 30M monthly views
- $250K MRR

people who never build anything love to say phrases like "remember clubhouse" and "it's just another wrapper" whenever someone ships something new.
pattern matching from past failures is the lowest form of analysis. it requires no skin in the game and no original thought.
meanwhile, the builders just keep building.

Bitter sweet journey. The final nail in the coffin.
> Be me
> Start a company with your best friend
> We build it to $15M+ ARR
> I desires more growth, he retires
> I leave to build other companies
> He loses his mind realising he has to work again
> The abuse continues (see message in pics) so I decide I’ll compete head to head
> He sues me, accusing me of copying him
> He loses badly
> We spend 5 years relentlessly digging away at the huge lead they had (that I built)
> He distracts himself with material items (and other things)
> They go bankrupt
> We buy their domain name, putting the final nail in the coffin
> We win.
Let this be remembered as a story similar to that of David and Goliath (his name was David). Let’s say a V2? Except in this story, David didn’t win. In fact, Goliath was the small guy in this story, and he played the long game. David got greedy after his first victory and stopped training, he stopped doing the very things that made him win in the first place! It’s a sad story - but I’m happy for Goliath and his team (😝).
Words are empty, he once told me I’ll never be able to run a company and he’ll make sure that I never succeed (?)… but at the end of the day the only thing that matters is action and results. You simply won’t beat someone that is willing to work more, do more, stay up later, learn faster (and has a vendetta). He chose this path, not me.
Now to use the domain for better things! 😆
