For me, it’s pretty simple. Set aside all of the reformed far right nationalism black/white nonsense. A man professing to be a Christian was actively breaking the law in a country in which he was residing and now has suffered the consequences of that. Sin has repercussions as does breaking the law.
Never forget that in 2020 when Governors across the United States declared churches “non-essential”, the majority of the American church did nothing. No rebellion, no rising up, no protest. They merely thanked their pagan masters and like good little simps did as they were told.
